This is a follow-up to my July 19 post titled ‘The Life of Service to the Highest Truth.’

Based on that previous post and for those who have asked for some additional alchemical keys, here is a brief summary and some further information…

In the poems that follow, there are some keys,
That are a part of the process, of alchemy,
So take some time, and read them slow,
And more of the principles, you will then know.

During my 3-day stay at the Castle von Bernus in 1989, my host was the 90 year-old Baroness Isa von Bernus, owner of the estate and widow of Alexander von Bernus who had died in the 1960s. In the early 20th century, Alexander von Bernus was a prolific writer of poems, plays and stories, as well as author of 20 books on alchemy and medicine.  He was a successful alchemist following the exact principles and teachings of the alchemists in the 1500s.  Von Bernus was in possession of notebooks handed down over hundreds of years.

Although Alexander von Bernus had passed away in the 1965, his vibrations were still potent throughout the castle.  Some of the parchments and scrolls within the castle dated to the 1300s.  Except for an occasional visit from a housekeeper, the Baroness, her husband and I were alone in the castle.
At the end of three days, I was once again ready to continue my journey, but the Baroness grabbed my arm and pulled me toward her as I was going toward the door of the castle.  We walked down a corridor with many doors. The Baroness stopped and pulled out a long key, just like in the movies, and opened a door. It was an office with many journals and books. The Baroness pointed to a chair and she and I sat quietly for twenty minutes.

My associate Heidi, who picked me up, told me that the office of Alexander von Bernus was left exactly as it was when he passed away in 1965. Heidi, who grew up in the surrounding area of the castle, was a friend of the Baroness and remarked that she had never heard of anyone, other than the Baroness, entering the office since her husband’s death.

That night I returned to Stuttgart and I slept in the attic of one of my associate’s home. During the night I heard the floor creaking and I said, who is there? I heard a real voice say, ‘Von Bernus is here.’ The following morning I shared my experience with Heidi. Heidi called the Baroness, but before she could speak, the Baroness told Heidi about her husband’s visit. The Baroness said, ‘Steven visited our castle and my husband visited Steven to reiterate that life continues even after one crosses through the veil.’

All the experiences, I did relate,
Really took place, at the von Bernus estate.
The physical aspects, of the castle you see,
Will eventually fade away, and no longer be,

But the wisdom it houses, some truths that are there,
Have existed forever, and can be found everywhere.
Philosophers give wisdom, which is housed in their frame,
They didn’t invent it, despite all their fame.

My experiences were many, each pointed the way,
That what you desire, can manifest each day.
The heartbeat of matter, is spirit you see,
To reach this awareness, just use this key,
Look for the inner, the driving force,
It is the handiwork of God, your spirit of course.

Now you must imagine clearly, and keep it in thought,
And have certain faith, you will manifest what is sought,
Your image will manifest, based on the strength of your will,
Have patience to wait, until it is physically fulfilled.

For each there’s a pathway,
So seek it each day,
It might become visible,
At work or at play.
Life is a schoolroom, lessons to learn,
Competing with others, should not be your concern.
Locate the pathway, and you will find,
Your journey inward, leads to peace of mind.

Courage to dare, thoughts Do create,
Begin through desire, then have patience to wait.
Elements find, their pattern from Mind,
Then the clusters form, into different kinds.
The proper frequency acts, as a band of glue,
To produce a form, which may appear to be new.
But what manifests now, in a physical earth place,
Existed in form, in another dimensional space.

To be in service, beautifies the heart,
And greater love arrives, to play its part.
Opening the mind, to greater capabilities,
Will be demonstrated by your actions, for all to see.
And when you are humble, like a child at play,
Nature shares all her wisdom, each and every day.

Seek what more is possible.  Make no boundaries. Live, love, laugh and be in joy knowing that you are capable of attaining what you imagine.

To inspire and empower with love, in love and through love.

The Importance of an Open Mind

The Importance of an Open Mind

In the 1500s in a small village in Germany, several townsfolk became concerned when one of the citizens locked himself in his house for five days. Every part of the house was completely closed and tightly sealed and because of their concern, the townspeople broke down the door to check on the man. Once inside they found the man dead. Nothing that the people saw could explain why the man had died.

In that time, people could not figure out the real reason why the individual had passed away. One philosopher, a great observer of nature, reasoned that something had polluted the air, causing a stagnation and the stagnation led to the death of the body.

From this experience the philosopher observed similar situations in nature as well as similar situations in human nature, where a closing off of vital nutrients led to a stagnation and a sort of death of normal activity.

Usually we think of crystallization and stagnation in terms of the outside physical world but this also can take place in the physical body, and more importantly, within the mind of an individual. Through fatigue, neglect and rigid thinking, the mind becomes stagnant which can lead to the decline of the mind as an instrument of inspiration, aspiration and a tool for the acquisition of knowledge.

We must be ever cautious that our mental realm does not become crystalized through prejudice, rigid opinions and quick conclusions before our mental instrument has had an adequate experience to justify our conclusions.

It seems that through our learning experiences during education that we tend to specialize and narrow our perspectives. One wise philosopher stated that on every level of society we find minds locked within artificial and arbitrary limitations.

As the citizen of the town referenced above, slowly closed off every possible flow of fresh air and thereby the life force to his body, he put into motion a stagnation and set the course for the death of his physical body.

The mind must also have access to fresh ideas and inputs that challenge the awareness or prejudice and dogmatic attitudes can lead to a stagnation and a death of sorts of the complete mental functioning of the mind. The ancient teachers in the Platonic school believed that it was important to have an understanding of general principles before trying to understand particulars. Far more is gained by starting from generalization and seeing the whole perspective than by being mired in specialization and losing sight of the whole.

The aspect of stagnation exists on all planes of our reality. With fresh air and circulation, the house would be a place of rest for both body and mind. With all avenues of fresh input closed the house became a death trap.

We must ask ourselves why are we here, what is the purpose of life? Is the purpose to acquire goods and things which can lead to a myopic view of our existence in life, gathering things which we cannot take with us when we pass from this earth? Or are we here to learn, through our experiences of life, and the total wisdom we have gained will be carried with us beyond the end of our physical existence?

One way to help ourselves achieve a more optimum journey is to place ourselves in the world of beauty, balance and harmony. We should not only work with nature but with human nature, especially our own. It seems that streams of lower vibrational activities are poured down upon us all the time. The solution comes from an old Socratic axiom which states, “Venerate the One, love the Beautiful, and serve the Good.”

Never be intimated, afraid, defensive or overwhelmed by new thoughts, ideas or opinions. These experiences have been arranged by the greater aspect of yourself to help you grow and learn in your life. The more open your mind is to observe new ideas, new thoughts and new pathways that enter your awareness, the greater your understanding will be regarding the lessons you’ve come to learn on this plane.

To inspire and empower with love, in love and through love.

Do Computers and Fast Automobiles Make a Culture Wise?

Some 500 years ago, philosopher-physicians made some wonderful observations of the world around them. A few of the great Renaissance thinkers were alone in their thoughts but most of them faced harsh criticism for their beliefs.

Great discoveries were made by these profound philosopher-physicians due to the fact that they functioned according to their own light and were not influenced by the opinions of those about them. Paracelsus (1493-1541), as a professor in the University of Basel, burned several textbooks saying, “This is what I think of precedent.” Paracelsus stated that the world might be better off with some of the medical books in the fire because the authors were not qualified to teach and their works were pedantic, or characterized by a narrow, often ostentatious concern for academic knowledge and formal rules rather than the truth.

Paracelsus believed that school textbooks should originate from someone’s experience, backed by their observation and experimentation and the author should be an individual who walked the life that he wrote about. In the early 1500s, he demanded that physicians function at a high standard of excellence, something that he believed they did not possess. He was critical of the use of leeches and bloodletting, stating that a person could be bled to death.

George Washington several hundred years later, would be bled to his death, by the medical establishment. Paracelsus stated that a person could not survive his physician, let alone his disease.

Paracelsus went against the accept protocol of his age by not publishing his works in Latin. He believed that if a person who was sick could read his health books in their native tongue, they would be able to speak with their doctor and the two would have a better understanding of the problem. It was believed at that time that the doctor knew more about a difficulty and therefore books should be in a language familiar to the doctor, thus eliminating the input of the patient.

Paracelsus believed that information could be obtained in many places. He stated that information discovered in the atmosphere of the alehouse could be far more learned than the information of some of the professors at the university. Paracelsus traveled throughout Europe meeting people and through them he discovered that their problems were different and their actions were different than what he was taught in the medical textbooks that he studied at his university.

Based on his experiences, Paracelsus believed that there needed to be a set of writings describing how people really lived and there needed to be better information regarding how the medical profession should assist people with health problems.

After spending his time with people from all walks of life, Paracelsus found that traditions and superstitions were vestiges of something once known but currently lost. Paracelsus stated that, “they are not merely fables but the keys to something distorted, and thus they are a valuable inheritance out of the past.”

It was documented that Paracelsus was able to cure three great ailments of our society; diabetes, cancer and tuberculosis. The written testimonials of his day demonstrated that Paracelsus had a unique system of cure, one that has been overlooked up to our present day. For some people today, their philosophy is that anything from past times does not have any substantial value because it is old.

Paracelsus was of the firm believe that it was necessary to combine worldly knowledge with spiritual understanding. He was thoroughly convinced that disease does not come from the outside but is a “result of wrong adjustment between the spiritual aspect of a person and his body.” Paracelsus stated, “A coat fits a person perfectly; then either the coat shrinks or the man gets larger, and the fit is no longer perfect. The garment cramps, as the individual enlarges, and that leads to discomfort. The coat is the natural garment of man; the body is the natural garment of the soul; any disharmony of adjustment between these two will cause sickness of the body and misery of the soul.”

Sickness of the soul is caused by excesses of the soul, said Paracelsus, “results in the ills flesh is heir to; the disease body is the framework on which is visibly stamped the excesses of the soul.” Paracelsus believed that nearly all complaints that people suffer from are either psychological, vocational or spiritual. To Paracelsus, vocational meant the dangers involved in someone’s profession, by spiritual Paracelsus referred to “wrong living, wrong thinking, wrong believing, wrong ideology, lack of control, lack of discipline, and lack of proper spiritual impulse.” Paracelsus was wise in his belief that thoughts and emotions caused physical problems.

Paracelsus believed that a healthy person is born without pain and dies without pain. Sickness comes about when a person lives unnaturally and goes against fundamental laws of Nature, or the Divine Plan. Paracelsus believed that God did not have any plan or purpose for afflicting pain and suffering on his creations; affliction comes when people act and live out of harmony with Nature and natural things
.
Paracelsus created a system that had a purpose of creating an adjustment between the visible and invisible aspects of a human being. Paracelsus believed that there must be an adjustment between the mind and spirit of an individual. He believed that pure mind was the “sensitive medium for the transmission of spiritual force to the physical body.” When an individual is caught up in morbid moods or strong negative emotions, a distortion takes place and an imbalance between the invisible aspects of a person and their physical being begins to build forming a chemical imbalance which leads to a sickness in the physical being.

Following this line of thought, merely taking a pill or substance to address the effect a person feels in the physical being, will not lead to any real change in the cause of a person’s problem. Today, we seem to demand speed in our recovery and when we are numb we believe that our difficulty has been addressed.

Paracelsus believed that, “any excess we have nurtured and nourished for a period of time become a living parasite that gradually devours good tissue, good substance, and causes a breakdown in the physical and metaphysical aspects of the being.”

Paracelsus believed that everything had some value or it wouldn’t have been created by God. One of his important saying was, “There is a little of Truth in everything, and everything is a little of Truth.”

There is No Secret on How To Manifest

There is No Secret of How to Manifest

Imagination is an important key to manifestation. Most people have a problem forming the right type of mental image because they become stressed trying so hard to create something. An important key is to distract the left hemisphere so that your imagination can offer up a solid mental image coming out of the right hemisphere.

Learn to image the final goal that you want to achieve. Don’t be too concerned with how it will happen, only that it will happen, and you will discover that the universe will take care of the manifestation process automatically. Image an individual or situation in a perfect state and the formation of the concept will begin to take place in physical form.

Some people have asked me why they are not able to form or hold a perfect concept. The reason for this is that people have not been taught that it is possible. During your waking time you are constantly imagining things throughout your day. You don’t believe that some of your imagining is real because you are not able to physically touch it.

Your imaginings do have a reality. Practice setting a goal, relax and let your mind develop it. There was a case where an individual grew new hip sockets. The person did not concentrate specifically on his hip sockets but rather he kept seeing himself running and skipping rope, which could only be done with his having healthy hips. He concentrated on the image of what he wanted to happen and the ‘how’ was taken care of by the universe.

Have the approach that all things are possible and that you are perfectly capable of making it happen. The more you understand how this concept works, the more manifestations will begin to take place in your physical reality.

There is no secret how to make these things possible, it requires only your desire to see something manifest. If you are a healer then your desire to see the other person well is enough to activate the process. When you attune yourself to that concept and apply yourself to help another person with their physical condition, you will help them to manifest the result that is desired.

All people have the capability of manifestation and when two or more are gathered together in resonance for a particular outcome, then this adds much greater energy and potentiality. In very ancient times, individuals were able to thought-form all the things that they needed. The ability to thought-form into physical reality, resides in our deep memory, and those ancient people realized that this ability is associated with the ultimate human expression that is possible in this world.

The strongest thing we have in the world is an idea, because an idea or thought can exist forever. Some ideas are forgotten but the idea continues in existence in the universe forever. When you realize that the energies that are associated with thought-form creation, are energies that do not come from what is created, but are the energies that creates, you will then be in resonance with the Creativeness of the universe.

The more of us that permeate our individual consciousness with these greater possibilities, then it re-activates these long-forgotten capabilities within the universal consciousness. If you decide to align yourself with less than positive activities upon this earth plane, then those thoughts and activities will become your reality and dominate your awareness.

If anyone thinks they can cure a disease or accomplish anything else, because you believe you are able to accomplish it, you believe in a superstition; but, if you KNOW that you can perform such a thing, because you are conscious of having the power to do so, you will be able to accomplish it by the power of your consciousness, and this is true faith. “Such a faith is knowledge and gives power.  True faith is spiritual consciousness.”

The hermetic philosophers stated, “If a person in their waking state knows nothing of those things that befall him, or doesn’t have the ability to manifest what is needed, the cause of the ignorance is that an individual does not understand how to search within for the powers that are given to the individual by God, and by which he may arrive at all the wisdom, reason and knowledge concerning everything that exists.”

Imagination is the creative power of human beings.  Individuals have a visible and an invisible workshop.  The visible one is your body, the invisible one, your imagination.  The visible world is only a product of the imagination of the Universal Mind.

“Every individual may come into possession of creative power by identifying their own mind with the Universal Mind and one who is successful in doing so, will be in possession of the highest possible wisdom.”  If you just believe this is possible than nothing happens.  IF YOU KNOW THIS IS POSSIBLE than you are truly wise.

That which lies beyond your knowledge is not strange, wild, weird or distant.  It is merely simple truth, not yet experienced.

Imagination is more than just creating, it is a person coming into sympathetic relationship with Creation itself.  Each one of us has an essence of our Creator within.

Imagination is a person moving away from himself, out of the common place, escaping the boundaries and barriers of tradition.

The ancient philosophers believed that imagination within a human being is sacred, as it comes from the spiritual aspect within human beings, and it was regarded as the most dynamic factor in human consciousness.  Einstein’s quote carries forward the great wisdom of ancient teachers.

The synopsis of the post is simple.  You must begin to realize that we have been placed upon this planet to demonstrate how we will use Creative Energy.  Each person has access to all the creativeness of the universe if you but KNOW that you DO have this connection.  Begin to trust yourself and KNOW that you are a child of the Creator and you have been given an opportunity for full expression.  You have been slumbering and it is time to awaken to who you are.

In the Likeness of the Creator

In the Likeness of the Creator

Some wise teachers in the past believed that the material world exists within the thought stream of the Creator. Held in thought by the Creator, matter remains in a form that appears solid and tangible.

Human beings are also creators in terms of their imagination. Human imagination can eventually take form in art, science and physical structures that we invent. But creation is not just limited to outer forms it also takes place within our inner world.

Human beings are perpetually creating various things through the sheer nature of their thoughts and imagination. We are in the likeness of the Creator in that we are also able to create and manifest. Whenever a person initiates an impulse through a thought or imaginative image, vibrations are set into motion leading to an action and a creation of a new life takes place.

A creation can take place through one’s intent but it also can take place through one’s emotions and seemingly random thoughts. The thought forms that are created are actually living things. The longevity of these creations survive only to the extent that the creator assists it with energy.

We know through various discoveries that the sound of speech creates various geometric patterns due to the rate of vibration or frequencies of the words. Therefore sound has a particular kind of life through the geometric forms that are created. People are constantly creating visible and invisible forms because ‘thoughts are things.’

Thoughts create things and these things are supplied and sustained through any continual flowing or motion of thought energy. The more the thought is directed in any particular direction, this thought becomes strengthened and more solid in its existence. It may eventually lead to a physical creation that is obviously visible but it may also lead to a creation in the non-visible area or become a living energy in our inner world.

This created thought form, that has become more intense in our inner world, can begin to influence and effect our objective world. The continuous process of supplying energy to an inner creation causes a fixation that leads to a crystallization and a more solid living energy pattern.

One’s attitudes grow as they are nourished and become larger and continue to increase their dominance in more areas of a person’s life. These are invisible structures that are growing within our mental fields. Someone’s attitudes and beliefs are living energies and they become agitated when they are approached and challenged. The little belief or habit actually can grow into a major habit.

Our beliefs, attitudes and habits, whether they exist in our emotional or mental fields can continue to grow until they reach the point of intensity that they become a psychic creation with strong influence upon our life.

Some of the ancient philosophers recognized that human beings fill their mental and emotional atmosphere with these strong energy patterns, that are a type of life form, and that these creations had an effect upon the physical and mental body of a patient. They believed that the only way to combat these thought forms or imaginative creations was through counter vibrations. As vibrations sustain the thought creations and have given them life energy, then these thought forms could be destroyed or removed antipathetically through other vibrations.

The wise healers of the past believed that treating the invisible part of people was the most important thing to start with. By the time these invisible creations had manifested their influence upon the physical and emotional body, it was just on the border of being too late. They knew it was important to be treating the cause, which in many cases was not purely physical.

Various emotions that are given energy and are projected outward as a vibration gradually strengthen, and as a person continuously feeds these emotions they become more solid. When someone hates they begin creating a hate thing. As a person hates again they feed this hate thing and every feeling of hatred, every emotional thread of hate nourishes and sustains the hate creation.

Many of these thought creations eventually radiate back to the individual in the form of chemical changes and then the balance, harmony and equilibrium are altered within the physical body, eventually leading to illness and dis-ease.

Some ancient philosophers believed that what we call germs, bacteria, viruses and all other micro-organisms are forms of life that were created by human beings. We can be walking around with an internal psychic pollution that is altering our internal atmosphere. Sickness and disease are mostly caused as a result of some imbalance within ourselves.

The best approach for our health, is to cleanse our emotional, mental and psychic fields from the negative imaginative thought forms, and eliminate these energy parasites, thereby re-establishing the normal and natural energies provided to us by our Creator.

Sympathetic Attractions and Archetypes

Sympathetic Attractions and Archetypes

Many ancient cultures built idols and images created in the likeness of their Deities.  In some ancient writings there are statements that some of the statues had almost life like energies.  None of the advanced thinkers believed that the stone, marble or metal figures were actually deities, it was supposed to be a likeness or representation.

An old philosophical tenant from the hermetic philosophy said, ‘things alike cannot be kept separate, things not alike cannot be reconciled.’  Therefore when a form comes into harmony with an Archetype, there is a release of energy from the Archetype to the form that is consistent with it.  The moment the form various from Archetype, the sympathetic bond is broken and the energy is no longer recorded on the object.  Although the bond is broken, the energy from the Archetype continues to flow.

Pythagoras in 520 BC stated, “In the light of ancient sympathy, image was constructed with magical emphasis.  The orders of architecture, shape of columns of a temple, its roof, dome, measurements, and dimensions, if accurately made, would capture the qualities of certain deities because of sympathetic affinity.”

The ancients believed that human beings had an Archetypal Man and Woman.  It is the perfect man and woman.  Paracelsus believed there was an archetype of the Perfect Physician.  All of the people ascribing to this concept believed that there is a perfect Archetype for all material ‘things.’

So, if an image is constructed with perfect skill, it became sufficient, similar in principle, for which it stood and ‘sympathy could exist between the object and Archetype.’  Once in sympathy an object or person would receive energy form the original Archetype in whose image it is fashioned after.

Following along with this concept, if you have a person that you greatly admire, revere or hold in high esteem, the more you act in your daily activities, as that individual acted, you would become in accord with the energetic frequencies of that individual.

Wherever forms create harmonic patterns, they attune themselves to Archetypes just as two tuning forks of similar pitch.  If one is struck, the other will sound.

Television and radio waves are certain sympathetic Archetypes and ‘can only be captured in instruments particular suitable for that purpose.’ If the instrument or in this case one changes the dial setting, the exact pattern is no longer captured, although another energy patter or station will be captured. Every form of life and energy in nature comes from an Archetype.

The Chaldean Oracles of Zoroaster mentions that Archetypal energy fields were called, Ever Flowing Fountains of Universal Good.  Energy is everywhere and is released from Archetypes on a continuous basis.
Ancient philosophers have stated… what makes human beings so unique is that within us is ‘the sympathetic potential of ALL THINGS.  We are capable of knowing all things, being all things and attuning to all things, because the roots and seeds of all things reside within us.’

We have the capabilities through interest and intent, to capture the Archetypal energies in which we are resonant, because we activate foci within ourselves corresponding to that Archetype.

A philosopher stated, “A person cannot energize an emotional power which is inconsistent with his own emotional process.  If one hates, he cannot participate in the Archetype of Love.  The energy of love is all around and never stops, but the person cannot capture it if closed to it.  Love, cannot be caught by the archetype of hate, it may permeate the individual, it may penetrate the individual, but not find a responsive chord within the person.”

For the Greeks, Aesculapius is the Archetype of the Perfect Physician Healer.

To become aligned with Archetype the old formula was, ‘Absolute Sincerity, Simple Honesty, Intuitive Integrity and Instinctive Ability.’  When anyone acts in their personality in accordance with this formula there is a release of power and energy from the Archetype that is desired.

In every profession there would be the perfect Archetype.  For an artist, scientist, musician or any field, “a person’s ultimate genius lies in their adjustment and calling forth to themselves the Archetype of their subject.”  “The great artist is one who has become one with the archetype of universal beauty, harmony and rhythm.”  The energies that come from Archetype develop and sustain the character and characteristics of ‘those who serve them.’

A wise philosopher stated, “We exist in a material universe supported upon a magnificent framework of universal principles manifesting as radiant blossoms or Archetypes.”

Finally, to sum up this post and several of my previous posts…there is the perfect Archetype of your own self.  If you read my previous post regarding thoughts on healing, we mentioned that we take individuals back to the time when they were sparked into existence in perfection.  According to the Doctrine of Emanations, a philosophy held by some ancient philosophers, from the original Archetype there is succeeding copies made, from copies, and so forth from the original.  If you think of this analogy and realize that slight imperfections become magnified as a copy is made from a copy until corrected it may become clearer what might be taking place here on the earth plane.

Every so often, examples are provided by the Creator, entities that correct their copy and become nearer their own perfect Archetype, to help us understand the possibilities for us to mirror and then become our own Greater Self.  This is why I mentioned earlier that when you have someone you admire, and you look to emulate their joyful, beautiful and loving example, it actually will bring you to a closer understanding of what more YOU can attain.  It is possible within one living to reach and be an exact copy of your true Archetype.

Just some thoughts to ponder.

Blessing to those who read these words and may the highest and best manifest on your continuing journey to your own personal Archetype.

With love, in love and through love.

You Are the Composer of Your Song of Life - Let There Be

You Are the Composer of Your Song of Life – Let There Be, A Hermetic Key

The following is meant to activate inner senses…

At the moment of any creation a sound has become manifest and the spiritual essence animating the form has its own unique keynote. All movement produces a string of notes and as we interact with others, together our notes produce either melodies or discord. As you move through life begin to listen to the notes that emanate from everything and everyone that you meet. You will know whether the new notes are in harmony or discord with you.

Reside in your silence for one moment and you will sense/hear the note or music coming from any person, animal, plant or object. You will hear their musical notes and learn more about their melody of life. Plants and animals can hear and sense your inner melody and are either attracted or repelled by your inner notes.

Spoken words are musical notes as well as the intent behind spoken words produces musical notes. The word love produces vibrations and overtones of sounds that always binds, heals, and soothes. Two hearts in love create a song that is heard in every sphere. Other overtones can loosen and disturb matter.

Looking upon something beautiful produces music within you. The ancient languages communicated more through the sounds then with words. Translating today, words don’t have the impact because they are different sounds. However, if you use the music of intent behind a word, then the results are the same no matter what the language might be.

Beauty is an outer expression of love, and listening, as well as gazing upon beauty, creates an inner harmony and deepens feelings of love. The more you appreciate beauty, love and harmony the closer one comes to understanding the musical notes of the Great Musician. All material form is an expression of music. All material objects are manifested musical notes. The more that material objects or people interact with other objects or people then we find the creation of musical compositions based on the combination and collection of notes within each.

Each step you take, each thought you have, each interaction with material forms, produces a unique melody or your song for that time of your life. The Great Musician has placed musical notes upon this plane and we have been given the gift of being allowed to create our own compositions.  The notes that you string together through your choices and contacts allows you to produce your melody at that moment.  You are the conductor that can create any composition that you choose based on your choices.

Another key for manifesting…

Let There Be!

Let There Be!’ is a definite statement that alters the formation of matter. ‘Let There Be!’ is a combination of three intentions.

Let = Allow it to take place and happen.
There = Is a call for a definite action to take place.
Be = A space, place or location.

This is a powerful mantra that becomes even more powerful when intent is used. Bring your awareness, thought, and intent to a spot or action and know and trust it to happen. Conceive of energy cascading from a fount of Creation and coming to, and then within, your conceptual mantra of ‘Let There Be ______!

The Command, ‘Let There Be!’ can produce a strong release of energy and is a key for manifesting from your imagination to a solid reality. See perfect health, see perfect movement, see the highest and best manifesting for the benefit of all, then with confidence state, ‘It is good!’

Enjoy your day and may your music be sweet, joyful and full of love.

With love, in love and through love to you.

Perspective and Understanding

“Aristotle, the ancient philosopher, was walking along the Mediterranean when he noticed a figure in the distance running between the water and the sand. As he got closer to the figure, he noticed it was the town madman carrying a little bucket. The man was filling it up in the water and then dumping it into a hole in the sand. When he got close enough to speak, he asked the man what he was doing. The man replied, I am going to empty all of this water so I can clearly see the blue-green color at the bottom. Aristotle then thrust his arms out and said, how are you going to get all of this water into that little hole of yours?”

“The man straightened up, scratched his head and pondered what the great philosopher had just said. The man then looked at Aristotle and said, great philosopher, what are you doing? Aristotle then took his arms, raised them to the sky and said, I am contemplating the universe. The man then thrust his arms into the sky in a sweeping motion, then pointed a finger at Aristotle’s head and said, now how are you going to get all of that in that little head of yours?”

A 92-year-old man went to the doctor to get a physical. A few days later, the doctor saw the man walking down the street with a gorgeous young lady on his arm. A couple of weeks later, when the old man had an appointment with the doctor again, the Doc said, “You’re really doing great, aren’t you?” The man replied, “Just doing what you said doctor, ‘Get a hot mamma and be cheerful.’” The doctor said, “I didn’t say that. I said you got a heart murmur. Be careful!”

People have their own opinions, viewpoints, perspectives and might hear things differently than the original author or speaker had intended to convey. There is no right or wrong. Each avenue we pursue leads us to different learning experiences in this classroom. Not only might there be different lessons but different discoveries can be made based on different interpretations.

In the following paragraphs both J.R. Newton and P.P Quimby stated that they had evolved their philosophy from a study of the gospels.

In an early post I mentioned J.R. Newton, he helped 250,000 people through the power of love. In his autobiography in the 1870s he stated that it was his studying of the scriptures that led to his life’s work. He believed that Jesus’s ministry was a ministry of pure love. Newton honed his philosophy, and based all of his life activities on the demonstration of love. Love in thought, works and deeds. Even when he was not working with others, he poured love out throughout each day.

Around the same period that Newton was active, P.P. Quimby, who many consider the father of the New Thought Movement, was working with more than 25,000 people. Quimby stated in his Quimby Manuscripts that through studying the scriptures he found that Jesus had come to teach a Science of Healing. Quimby based his philosophy on the concept that often Jesus stated that the level of one’s results were based on their belief and faith.

If they had strong enough faith then healing would take place to the level of their belief. If there was non-belief, then no mighty miracles could be seen. In my previous posts we saw that Quimby has a very thorough philosophy regarding thoughts, belief, sickness and cure. We create what we think. It is not only what is said, but what we believe was said, that leads to our creation of thought forms that then manifest into solid physical reactions.

The following is a true story that Paul Harvey told about 40 years ago. The Harvard doctor tells this story to each of his new students so that the young interns understand that they don't know everything and they are not God.

A doctor from Harvard Medical School was making his rounds in the heart ward. He had 10 interns with him. They came to the bed of a patient who was in a coma and was expected to die at any moment. The patient's heart was literally in pieces. The professor placed his stethoscope on the patient and turned to the interns and said, 'Listen to that beat (which was very erratic)...just listen ...to the wholeness.' Each of the interns placed their stethoscope on the patient and remarked that they heard what the doctor was talking about. They continued on their rounds.

The next day the patient came out of the coma...one week later the patient was walking around and two weeks later was checking out. The professor happened to see the patient and remarked...you are a real miracle! The patient said, that's not what you told me doctor. The doctor remarked, 'what did I tell you?' When you told me how whole my heart was, and all the other doctors agreed, I thought I was alright.

Now, not only did the patient think he was all right...another examination showed his heart had completely rectified itself. He was in a coma and didn’t really understand what was being intimated by the doctors that were speaking about him! The doctor used the word whole in the wrong context meaning that it was not whole in its proper functioning. This is the power of our minds and belief.

The point of all of this is that our perception and interpretation is what leads to each outcome. The original writer, speaker, or person performing an action, might have had a particular thought or concept in their mind that they were trying to share. Your interpretation might lead you to another understanding that was not anticipated, recognized or known by the original author. It’s all a part of creation and we shouldn’t shy away from new ideas and discoveries that come from within. TRUST YOURSELF!

We should also observe what we might have created in our physical body and mind due to our interpretation. We are creators!

Today see how many times you see beauty around you and how you can express the love you have inside of yourself.

With love, in love and through love to you.

Phineas Parkhurst Quimby – Part 2 – Thoughts are Like the Aroma of a Rose

In 1978, about ten years before they would be published, I received the unpublished Quimby Manuscripts from Errol Colie.  Within Quimby’s writings he described one of the early events in his life that led him to understand the dynamics of belief.

Quimby mentions that medical doctors told him that he had a bad case of consumption and he would be dying in a very short time.  Quimby believed this to be true because he kept getting weaker and weaker as the doctors told him would happen and he believed his life would end at any moment.
Based on the belief he would die soon, Quimby decided to take his horse and carriage up to a little knoll overlooking his town and look at the scenery one last time.  After a few hours on the knoll, he barely made it back to his carriage and was beginning to climb on board.  Just as he brushed against the carriage, his horse got spooked and begun to run.  Quimby was not on board but had a part of his overcoat stuck to the carriage.

Quimby could not stop his horse and because he was attached to the carriage he had to run while attached for several miles back to his town.  Remarkably, instead of feeling worse, Quimby felt better and more alive than he had since he was first diagnosed.  He had been told that he could never do anything that required deep breathing or it would kill him.

From this event, Quimby changed his attitude regarding his condition and he no longer believed what the doctors told him.  On a following visit to his doctor, he was declared well.  Soon after this event, hypnosis became the rage, and as I explained on my previous post, Quimby began developing his healing system.  It became clear to him after thousands of experiments that an individual’s belief system was a large contributor to their health and well-being.

In the 1840s more and more books came out discussing systems of hypnosis.  In all of the books it was believed that no one could be hypnotized during an electrical storm because there was an electrical fluid that was involved in the process of hypnosis.  Quimby also had this belief because that is what he read.  One day, during a very successful demonstration he conducted with Lucius, Quimby was so engrossed in what he was doing in the hall, he hadn’t realized there was an electrical storm taking place outside.

Quimby began to realize that everyone who was involved with hypnosis believed the same thing and therefore the results were what everyone expected.  Everyone up to his time and tried and failed to successful conduct hypnosis during a storm.  Once it was learned that Quimby could do it then many other hypnotists could do it.  From this event Quimby decided he would not accept what other people believed unless he found it personally to be true.

This concept of a group belief effecting many people is not so strange when you consider what took placed in the 1950s.  The belief was that no track and field runner could run a sub four-minute mile.  Some people believed that the joints of the body couldn’t handle it.  The well-conditioned athletes could not break this barrier.  Once Roger Bannister, who was not the best athlete during that period, broke four minutes for the mile, more than six other runners were able to accomplish the feat within two months.  Why couldn’t they do it previously?

I feel we should not overlook, what I shared in my previous post, how eventually Quimby only work hypnotically with Lucius through thought commands. Lucius would act upon Quimby’s thought immediately. When I was younger there was a hypnotist performing around the Los Angeles area called Pat Collins, the Hip Hypnotist.  She would bring people up on stage, hypnotize the participants and have them acting like animals or becoming stiff as a board.  She vocally gave commands, of course, because it was a show, but she did speak to the people.

When we speak about thought being like the aroma of a rose and that you can smell it but not see it there is an important point here.  Thoughts from others, both deliberate and non-intentional, permeate our being.  Two reasons why we are not continuously moved by other’s thoughts are that we have our own thoughts going on, and when we are involved and focused on what we are doing these thoughts are not strong enough to influence us at the moment.  However, if someone begins to think about something, and there are thoughts along that same line surrounding the person, then you can see how the thought is intensified within a person without them knowing they are receiving influences from other sources.

Quimby also mentioned in 1850 that all disease and illnesses have a particular odor.  I have read several references that there are dogs that are able to smell whether someone has cancer in their body.

We have two interesting concepts involved with our sharing this information regarding Quimby.  One point has to do with how are own personal belief system affects our body and the second is that we are influenced by thoughts from outside our physical body.  When people questioned Quimby on how it was possible that a young child could get sick from their thoughts if the child was very young, Quimby explained it by saying the child’s though field was permeated from the thoughts of the adults around him.

There are several incidents written up in medical journals regarding pregnant women who were frightened by something they saw and their baby was born with a symbol or natural tattoo upon the child’s body.  The mother’s belief was all that was involved as there was no physical contact.  A report in the medical journals from England discussed a woman, who was so afraid of catching a health problem that was circulating in her city that locked herself in her house and made sure there was no physical contact with anything outside her home. While looking out her window and seeing someone pass by who had the disease on her face, the woman in the house manifested the disease within her own body.

What are some conclusions regarding Quimby’s ideas?  Quimby taught himself, or should I say, opened up an aspect within himself, in which he could tell a patient exactly when and how they picked up their belief that had created and was sustaining their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body dis-ease.  So, If I was Quimby and you came to me our visit would go like this…Steve, I am wondering if you could help me with my problem…I would interrupt you and say, please don’t tell me your problem.  I will tell you exactly what you are feeling, how it has progressed and where and when it became your belief system.  I would then say to you, If I tell you all of this will you believe that I know all about you and your problem?

Most likely you would say yes because you had to explain to your medical doctor what you were feeling yet I told you everything without you telling me a word about it.  I would then talk and reason with you, like a lawyer challenging a witness, until you found that what you believed was only a lie.

On one of my previous posts, Tumors Melt Like Snowballs, Mr. Wright shrunk his tumors, grew his tumors, shrunk his tumors and grew tumors the size or oranges in less than two days each time.  This was accomplished through his belief system. Someone responded on my previous Quimby post regarding all of the pharmaceutical advertising and how it could affect us.  Hopefully you can see how people are affected.  One commercial might say, ‘if you sneeze twice in a two hour period it means you have the what-it-is disease.  If the commercial goes on to explain the symptoms, some people will begin to manifest the symptoms.  There is programming taking place.

Once again I have written a long post.  I hope this post has stimulated your thoughts regarding belief and the effects of thought.  Obviously there is more to Quimby then I have written in two posts.  I will write more in the future, as I have in the past, regarding thoughts, beliefs and how we influence each other as well as our outer world.

May your journey be blessed with laughter, wonderful excitement, fun and with love, in love and through love.

Phineas Parkhurst Quimby: Disease and its Cure are Mental States

Thought is like the aroma of a rose.  It permeates and surrounds you even though you do not see it. Our thoughts go out from us and can affect others as their thoughts can affect us.  A mother’s thoughts can affect her children and every disease has its own odor.

Quimby was born in New Hampshire in 1802.  He apprenticed to a watch and clock maker and was later engaged in this business for himself.  He was interested in mechanics and devised several mechanical appliances.

I first learned of P.P. Quimby in 1978 and one week later I was speaking to Errol Collie, he had studied the writings of Quimby for 46, who was considered an expert in Quimby’s philosophy. At the end of our telephone call, Collie, invited me to visit him at his home in Naples, Florida.  Three weeks later I was off to see Collie.

I flew from Los Angeles to Miami and then picked up a short flight from Miami to Naples.  I was waiting at the luggage carrier, but my bags never made it on the flight to Naples.  In fact, I was told that my baggage remained on the original airplane that continued on to Bogota, Columbia.

Although my bag did not make it, standing next to me was 81 year old Errol Collie.  He was standing holding on to two bicycles.  Now I understood why I didn’t have my bag!  I will never forget riding on a bicycle through the streets of Naples.

Here is some background on Quimby and the journey he took in making his discoveries…

“In 1838, a traveling hypnotist, Dr. Collyer, gave a series of lectures in Belfast, Maine, the town were Quimby was residing.  Quimby became very interested in the subject and made many experiments himself and became quite proficient.  He found that he had considerable influence over a young man named Lucius Burkmar, and they toured together for over two years giving exhibitions in mesmerism that greatly astonished the beholders.”

A typical aspect of their exhibitions would be Lucius' ability, under mesmerism, to locate objects or written documents that town members had deliberately hidden in advance of their visit.  Lucius would not only know where the letters were hidden but would proceed to read the contents of the letter.

Quimby often was called upon to use the powers of Lucius to diagnose someone's health problem.  He soon perceived that the diagnosis was always identical with what the patient, or someone else who was present, thought was the trouble.  He became convinced that disease and its cure were mental states.

For over ten years, Quimby made a special study of the cause and effect of suggestion while Lucius was under hypnosis, and examined and analyzed the various phenomena which resulted from these experiments, until at least he discovered the principle which governed them.

“One remarkable discovery came quite by accident.  Quimby was working with Lucius when he realized that he was late for an appointment.  Quimby flashed the thought that he had better remember to take his hat.  At that exact moment, not realizing Lucius had not been brought out of his hypnotic state; Lucius stated the exact words and cadence that Quimby had only thought.”

It was from this point that Quimby decided that he would not verbally state what he wanted Lucius to do, but would only think it in his mind.  This was a profound discovery.  When you think of the use of hypnosis today, we are always aware that the hypnotist speaks to their subject.

To further test his new discovery, Quimby decided on another experiment.  Lucius was very fond of lemons and would suck on one a day.  Quimby placed Lucius in a hypnotic trance and then visualized Lucius sucking on one lemon after another until Lucius began throwing up.  At no time did Quimby voice what he was doing.

Further study showed that hypnotism was unnecessary to the success of his work.  Quimby had discovered principles that allowed him to possess the same abilities as one who has been hypnotized, AND SO CAN YOU my Facebook friends.  He began to put into practice his 'Theory,' of the 'Truth,' as he termed it.

In a circular to the sick, Quimby said, 'My practice is unlike all medical practice. I give no medicine and make no outward applications. I tell the patient his troubles and what he thinks is his disease, and my explanation is the cure.  If I succeed in correcting his errors, I change the fluids of the system and establish the truth or health.  The truth is the cure.'  He frequently called his philosophy Science of Health and Happiness.

Quimby stated, 'Every thought that takes form in the mind or matter has its cause outside of it…to believe a thing is to make it in your mind.  If you believe what a person tells you, you create in your own mind the thing, and when you have created the thing, you are either in it or outside of it.  For instance, I tell you of some new disease; if I can explain it to you so you believe it; you have it in your mind, ready to spring up at any time when your system is in the right condition, so you are in danger of the disease.  If you had wisdom, the lie or disease would be in your wisdom as a lie, and be a dead letter.  But if you believe it, your wisdom would be confirmed in your belief, and your punishment is the disease.'

“When Quimby speaks of disease in the mind, he does not mean that it is imaginary; he means that an idea can be planted in your mind and if the idea contains fear of a disease, that disease or phenomenon will manifest itself sometime in or on your body.  'A good illustration would be, suppose I should ask you if you have ever seen a chenet.  You say, no, so I commence to tell you what it is and describe it to you in every detail.  I say to you that a chenet is a tropical fruit the size of a large grape.  It has a dark green semi-hard shell, and there is a large had seed in the center of it. Between the seed and the shell, there is a soft white substance, which can be eaten.”

“Before you heard what a chenet was, it was not in your mind; but now that I have explained it to you, it is in your mind and will remain there as a harmless idea.  I can also tell you about a certain disease and explain its terrible characteristics to you in every detail – tell you what the symptoms are, how you are liable to catch it, and how dangerous it is, and this idea will be in your mind, just as the idea chenet was put into your mind.   Here is the difference, the idea chenet contained no fear and will do you no harm, but the idea of disease will, and if this fear is allowed to remain in your consciousness, it will create the disease which I have described to you, and this disease will manifest itself in or on your body at any time when you system is in the right condition.'”

Over the course of his healing activities, Quimby worked with more than 25,000 people with all manner of sickness, disease and physical difficulties.  He reasoned with them that their disease was unnecessary.  He worked with very dramatic health problems as well as blindness, deafness, and all types of physical deformities.  Numerous articles and testimonials that appeared during his lifetime attest to his success. He is considered the Father of the New Thought Movement.  There is so much ‘meat’ in his philosophy and too little space to discuss it here. If I receive a good response to this post I will share more details regarding Quimby’s philosophy in a following post.

With love, in love and through love.

Some Personal Thoughts Regarding Healing Others

Some Personal Thoughts Regarding Healing Others

Although I had a tremendous amount of confidence in sports and school work, I was almost painfully shy when it came to social situations throughout my teens and early twenties.  In my youth I depended on blind dates and was at the mercy of my friends regarding women I would go out with.

On one such blind date in 1974 I went out with a very nice lady for lunch.  After lunch she invited me to her home to share further on a topic of health that we were discussing.  We ended up sitting in two chairs that were about ten feet apart.  I noticed that the lady appeared to be agitated by something that was not part of our current discussion.  I asked if she would like me to go.  She said no.

I had such a strong feeling that I needed to do something I envisioned placing my arms around her to calm her down.  There was no sexual aspect attached to my thought.  I just wanted her to relax.  At that exact moment she said, ‘you touched me.’  I said, what are you talking about?  ‘You touched me, I could feel it, you hugged me.’

Instead of being even more uneasy, a calmness came over her and she shared a problem she was having in one of her relationships.  This was an incredible experience for me and demonstrated a very interesting aspect of what we are all capable of doing.  Tomorrow’s post will go into this aspect in more detail.

Because of an inner urge I wondered if I might be able to use this ‘ability’ to help other people.  In a short time I had a dream that I could help others through spiritual healing as opposed to going into the medical profession.  I began receiving information at night regarding various manners of assisting others.  I had a desire, I asked and I received answers from a deeper source.

At night I was taught that there are as many approaches to healing difficulties as there are people who have physical, mental, emotional and spiritual problems.  There is not one system, one exact sequence of words or jumping up and down while chanting that will help everyone, every time.  Each situation is as unique as the person who has the discomfort.

I also was given a little story about the farmer Zeke.  Zeke was riding on his tractor working in his field when he heard a voice calling his name.  Zeke, Zeke.  Zeke said, ‘who is this?  ‘This is God, the voice answered.’  ‘God, what do you want with me?’  ‘Zeke we are going to do healing work together.’  The next day Zeke went into town to the nearest metaphysical church and told the people of his contact with God.  Immediately the members of the group taught Zeke all their healing systems, gave Zeke all of the materials needed for healing and pronounced him ready to heal others.

A lady with arthritis in both hands soon entered the church for healing.  Zeke was told that this was his time…he jumped to it and began saying all the words he had been taught; started placing objects all over the ladies body and squinted his eyes to deliver the energy until sweat was pouring out of his forehead.  Two minutes later the woman dropped dead on the spot.

Zeke was back on his tractor plowing his field when he heard a voice calling his name. ‘ Zeke, Zeke this is God.’  Zeke shot back, ‘God, I did what you said and tried to heal a woman but she dropped dead.’  God then said, ‘all you were supposed to do was lay your hands upon the lady, I was going to do the healing.’

Now over the years we have worked with a large number of people, some right in front of us and others across the world.  In all instances it is about supporting the specific individual and not just using a predetermined system.  Generally when we are requested to help someone, we don’t focus on their specific physical or emotional difficulty.

We take a few seconds seeing in our spiritual center the individual in a perfect condition.  We don’t look at someone having a leg problem, an arm problem or some other body part difficulty.  We envision the person living in a perfect physical manner and not being hampered in any degree.

At times when we are with someone or speaking with them we ask them to take a journey with us.  We accompany them as they take a journey to the ‘perfect spiritual state’ where they were sparked into existence by their Creator.

Each and every time we work with someone we surround them with, in and through love (J.R. Newton). Sometimes we are told through spirit or a person’s higher self, the event that led them into an erroneous belief that has created their particular un-easiness or disease (P.P. Quimby – The next post).

You might think that we give people who come to us some incredible information that completely changes their life.  One person was told to take their shoes off and play in the grass so they could feel the love from Mother Earth.  For others it has been to go to the nearest miniature golf course and remember what it was like being a child at play.  Most need to forgive themselves.

I ask many of the people who come to us about LEFL (Laughter, Excitement, Fun and Love).  I am checking their LEFL-ometer.  I ask them to tell me the last time they laughed.  When was the last time they looked forward to something exciting? What do they do for fun?  How and where is love in their life?  People have told me they don’t recall the last time they laughed.  Some people tell me that work is what they do for fun.  I have to remind them that work has given them the ulcer that has brought them to me.

If I tell you that we have worked with people with inoperable brain cancer tumors and breast cancer tumors, diagnosed by leading medical universities in the United States, and worked with people in coma, all who have had instantaneous remission, what do you think?  If I tell you that we have worked with people all over the world with the most deleterious difficulties who have had instantaneous remission, what are you now thinking? When I share about bilocation being done, do you believe this?

What if I tell you that every one of you can do the same things if you desire?  What if I tell you that what one of us does, WE all are capable of doing.  What if I tell you that the same spiritual sources that have been sharing through me, tell me that every one of YOU, can do it and that what it takes is A BEAUTIFUL HEART, AN OPEN MIND AND A HUMBLE SPIRIT?  Can you feel these words and bring yourself into these vibrations? You do not need courses, teachers or magic…just a desire to help and be of service to others.

Here is my dilemma.  If I don’t share what has happened to me than many people will still believe that only yogis, special gifted people, or highly religious people can do ‘miraculous’ type things.  I know that this is not true and that we can all do these things.  I am hoping you will read my words and believe that if he can do it than I can do it.

I have never joined any spiritual groups, I am not a vegetarian, and I would rather have fun then do intense studying of someone’s healing system.  I listen to rock and roll oldies, I can’t dance because I can’t hold a beat.   I still can only draw stick figures and nobody wants to be my partner in Pictionary.
If you choose to believe in someone’s system or belief, then of course that becomes your belief. I realize that I am also sharing a ‘something’ that has been my way journey and manner of healing. My approach includes being light hearted, realizing the beauty in all things, surrounding all things you do with, in and through love; having an open mind and being humble in the knowledge that I am not the source of the healing.  These aspects don’t take years to accomplish.  You can be these things in seconds if you desire to approach life in this manner.  What you may accomplish will be unique to this earth plane because it is coming through you.

I am sharing a message of what more is possible.  Know that these things are possible and realize that you are good, worthy and given these abilities by your Creator.   What you believe will become your reality!

A particular point of Zeke’s story is that you don’t necessarily need to follow other people or books.  Be open to what comes through YOU when you act as a conduit.  Go within the closet of your own Being, go directly to the Source that you know is your Creator.  My intention is that you go within so please don’t request me to do a healing for you.  This post is about awakening, activating and empowering YOU to what more is possible.  May the highest and best manifest for you during your spiritual quest and you come to a full realization of who you are!

With love, in love and through love to you.

The Nature of Relationships

The Nature of Relationships

Paracelsus, a famous philosopher of the 1500s, who spent a great amount of time in nature, found his interest peaked in virtually every aspect of the natural world. One of his observations involved a pond near his home. During the spring the pond was very active with fish. During the middle of summer, the pond became heated and some fish died. During the winter time, the outside temperature became extremely cold, and the pond became frozen. The fish became less active, some swam deeper under the surface, and some of the fish died.

What fascinated the old philosopher was why the pond went through these changes. He reasoned that the sun, the earth, and the pond water were still of the same essence throughout the year. If all the basic elements remained the same, then what would cause the changes of heat and cold?
He then realized that the pathway of the sun across the sky was different throughout the year. He recognized that, while the elements had not changed, the relationship between the elements was different.

Paracelsus carried the theory of relationship to many other areas of life.
In observing people, he noted that when two particular people would come together, the relationship between those two people was sometimes heated, argumentative and volatile. Yet, both individuals were of a completely different nature when each of them was alone with other people, no matter what was being discussed. He believed it was the relationship of the natures of people together that caused a particular emotional result between them.

In the area of health, the philosopher noted that often a particular medicament, used for a particular health difficulty, would work very well for one patient, but not another patient who had seemingly the exact same problem. However, through his observation, he noted that when he would approach his patients, addressing each using a slightly different demeanor, then the same medicament would work in each case, as the patient was more receptive.

The philosopher also believed that everything in nature has an inherent energy, which might be destructive for some things in nature, but also a food or nutrient for something else in nature. He discovered that even the poison of a snake, something unheard of in his time, was beneficial to heal certain problems. He knew that even the sting of a bee held curative powers for some difficulty.

He developed salves and patches, made out of particular substances in nature, which drew out the energy of measles, poxes, toxins and other detrimental substances in people. His patches quickly absorbed these toxins as a needed energy. Then he removed the patches and placed them safely away in nature where they weren't harmful to anyone. He believed that measles, and even the plague, were a living energy that had some purpose or they wouldn't exist. He believed that everything that exists has a purpose.

This renaissance philosopher made all of his medicaments based on the astrological and seasonal relationships of the cosmos. Everything he produced was based upon the conception of relationship. There was a proper day, time, and month of the year to combine the elements in the optimum relationship that he used in his preparations.

Our system of medicating does not take this into account. In situations other than an immediate emergency, there are optimum times to give medicines and therapies to individuals based upon the relationship between the patient and the medication. Does this sound like a strange concept carried from the Middle Ages? The Paracelsian system of relationship, used in the 1500s and 1600s, produced remarkable cures for the most devastating diseases and illnesses of their time. Some of these same diseases and illnesses are just as devastating to us today.

The point is to not rush into some immediate judgment, regarding an approach, to help someone in a particular situation. Attempt to recognize all the factors that might be present which could enhance or detract from an approach you might be considering. How often have you had the experience where you share some information with a friend or loved one which they don’t accept at the moment? Then another person provides the exact same information to that friend or loved one, and it is accepted.

Perhaps we should evaluate some of our personal relationships and determine if they are ennobling or less than positive. It does not mean that one of the people in the relationship is bad or inherently toxic, it just may be that it is not the highest and best relationship for either person.
True health does not mean that you ae not ill at a moment.  True health means that you have eliminated, from around yourself, those factors that can cause you a health difficulty.
Through love or affection people can achieve transformation and transmutation to neutralize, to some degree, situations that are not of the optimum relationship.
An old alchemical statement was ‘things sympathetically associated are nearer than in any other relationship.  Things that are thus near, must be near in qualitative terms.’  Individuals can live under the same roof for a lifetime and never be near.  Others can live on other sides of the world, never physically meet, and yet be in a wonderful relationship.

With love, in love and through love.

A Beautiful Little Community

A Beautiful Little Community
More than 2,000 years ago a group of philosophical people and their little school taught a little of this and somewhat of that in order to create a community of balanced individuals.

They taught a very simple concept of bathing in clear water before they undertook spiritual activities because this brought them into somewhat of a neutral condition.

Students in the school were taught how to breathe properly and also how to read the heavens.
Students were taught how to commune with the Universal Mind in order to pick-up the medicaments they might need for some type of physical problem they had and then they were taught how to understand the effects of vibrations so they didn’t have to use those medicaments after a little time.

Although it was more than 2,000 years ago the students were taught how to read and they studied physics, mathematics and moral virtues.

Visitors to this community often came troubled in their physical and emotional bodies and after staying for a short time would return to their homes in a more balanced and ordered condition.

A fundamental teaching of the community was the knowing that each person is a particle in the thought stream of God.  Therefore being that each person is divine, visitors left with a completely different viewpoint than that which they came with.

All people within the community had a kinship with the Angelic World and understood that although they were on this planet their Creator was always as close as their breath because their Creator was present within their heart.

There is one great Creative force within the universe with many other energetic patterns passing out from within it.  There is constant stimulating force of Love projecting out from the God-head.

There have been those throughout history who gave up position and many other things so that they would be a person with no strings attached and open to the behestings of God. Once doing this they received inspiration and loving support, the same available to everyone single individual within the world, in a continuing journey of channeling the love from God to all life on the earth plane.

For every one, if you would sit still, if you would listen quietly with an open mind seeking the highest and best going directly to the Source, within this state of being, you will reach the activity that created all of the ‘miracles,’ back throughout time.

One of our greatest Teachers in the Western world did not come to do much about the physical or the physical laws.  He came to remind people of the inheritance of each individual on the planet.  An understanding that we are spiritual beings riding in a physical body.  One important point brought out was toward getting along with other individuals.  He was pointing out that you are here to get along with other individuals and not for them to get along with you. They have their pathway and lessons.

Although many individuals have given their meaning of the example of turning the other cheek, I look at it in this manner.  You continue to send love despite the aggression upon yourself.  Also, one takes another moment to assess the situation and determine the appropriate response as opposed to an immediate knee jerk reaction.  It is not about being a martyr it is about taking that one extra moment and aligning with the highest spiritual principle within yourself and acting as you see that highest and best part within addressing the situation.  I act as I see my Highest and Best part acting.

With love, in love and through love throughout your day.

The Phenomena of Life – It’s All About the Energy

Today’s post is a bit scientific but I believe you will enjoy it…

Tributes to Dr. George Washington Crile (1864-1943) includes the USS George Crile, a US Liberty ship named after him during World War II, and a lunar crater named after him. In 2008, Crile was chosen as one of the six Great People of Ohio, along with Thomas Edison, Jesse Owens and Harriet Beecher Stowe.
But all of these accolades for Crile were due to his being formally recognized as the first surgeon to have succeeded in a direct blood transfusion. He also contributed to other procedures and medical devices that have benefited surgical techniques. I personally believe his greatest contribution to understanding how life exists comes from his two books, “The Phenomena of Life” and “The Bipolar Theory of the Living Process.” Both books remain virtually unknown.

In 1887, during his first day as an intern at University hospital, Cleveland, a young man whose legs were crushed under the wheels of a street car, was brought to the hospital. The man was a fellow medical student named William Lyndman, who was in a state of profound shock. Despite a minimal loss of blood and every organ intact, Crile witnessed his first death. If organs were intact and everything seemed in working condition, why did his friend die? According to his medical studies, his friend should still be alive. His conclusions represent thousands of experiments over a ten-year period, utilizing the best resources of physics, chemistry, biology, histology, cystology and biophysics. He had tens of thousands of studies but here is the gist…

Crile began his discovery for the phenomenon of life by looking at the reason why people die from shock, where there is no apparent physical explanation.  In cases of shock, he found no apparent change in circulation in respiration or in the blood.  Death did not appear due to failure of the kidneys, the stomach and intestines, the pancreas, the spleen, the thyroid gland, the muscles, tendons, connective tissue, the bones or the joints.

Through some careful studies, Crile realized that the thyroid, liver and adrenal glands were the Rosetta stone for his discovery of a controlling energy that governs life. Crile reasoned that if all the fluids in the system are intact at death, then he must be dealing with an energetic situation taking place within the body. Through microscopic analysis, he discovered that at death there were changes in particular cells of the thyroid, liver and the adrenal glands.  These cells appeared to diminish in size despite the presence of blood and normal circulation.

Science has shown that there is strong evidence that cells are electric in nature. Crile developed his concept of the Bipolar Theory of the living process, his “Radio-Electric Theory” based on this assumption.
Subjecting organisms to injury, emotion, infection, stimulants, narcotics, insomnia, adrenalin and other factors he measured what took place in the cells of the thyroid, adrenal glands and liver from an electric standpoint. His experiments showed that the drive-wheel for all electrical activity operating at a healthy state throughout the body was the brain, thyroid and the adrenal-sympathetic system.  Crile believed that these areas processed Solar or Radiant Energy, taking the energy from the sun and cosmos and bringing it into a shortwave field.

Crile also conducted research into physical structures of the plant kingdom.  He studied fruits and vegetables subjected to loss of oxygen and to anesthetics to look for changes in temperature, electric conductivity, electric capacity and electric potential within the cells within the protoplasm.
Protoplasm is the essential matter that makes up all plant and animal cells and through his research he found that protoplasm is a system of generators, conductance lines, insulators and an infinite number of thin films that hold electric charges.

Through long study and experiments Crile realized that all mater within the universe is affected by the same energy and that all matter is electromagnetic in its nature.  Electromagnetic effects sustain nature, plants, animals and humans.  The great source of radiant energy is the sun.  The sun provides energy for plants and the nitrates that feed the plants.  Animals eat plants that provide radiant energy for animals and humans when they eat either plants or animals.

Crile also conducted research within the electric fields of cancer cells and cancer tumors. Crile discovered when there are changes in the electric potential of the cell, then the process of oxidation is interrupted and there is a corresponding change in the cell that can lead to mutation or death.  The mutated cells would lead to a tumor that would continue to exist until the electrical balance was brought back to a normal condition.

If all the fluids in the system are intact at death, then we must be dealing with an energetic situation taking place within the body.  Science is aware of the fact that a cell contains a comparatively acid or positive nucleus and an alkaline or negative cytoplasm and gives the strong appearance that living cells are electrical in nature.

Crile finally reached his conclusion about his fellow student Lyndman.  At the time of death of his friend, almost all electrical activity ceased within particular cells of the organ even though all physical and chemical structures were still in place.

Crile eventually discovered little particles existing within the body, which he called radiogens or ‘hot points’, which processed the energy. Radiogens accumulated in a higher percentage in the above mentioned areas, with temperatures ranging from 3000 to 6000 degrees of heat processing within the cells. These minute particles control the entire electromagnetic aspect of the life force that courses through the body.

Crile believed that just as the sun is the major generator of the energy that radiates to earth and provides life to everything that exists within our planet, there are billions of tiny suns within the nucleus of cell that radiate light or energy within the body.

Crile’s Radio-Electric Theory identifies the mechanism of how all our body functions are controlled and regulated.  When the radiogens go out, the body dies.

Visualize, conceptualize and energize the thought of the energy of the sun, cosmos and your Creator coming into your body…

With love, in love and through love.

The All is in the all and all is in the ALL

The All is in the all and all is in the ALL

This is a synthesis of what the great philosophers believed…
To understand the workings of the world and the cosmos, the old hermetic philosophers relied heavily upon a philosophy that believed there is a relationship of the little world, which is a human being, to the big world that existed outside of the human being. There are constellations in the brain, solar systems in the heart and planets everywhere within the human body.

The influence of astrology was based on the fact that humans are filled with stars and by virtue of these internal stars, human beings are bound to the majesty of the cosmos. It is the interior stars that are effected by the planetary influences in the cosmos.

Nothing is hidden in nature that the human mind cannot ultimately discover. There is nothing in the farthermost part of space that human consciousness cannot search out and understand. Through the diversity that takes place within a human being the ancients were able to understand the outward nature of reality.
We have a corresponding star within us for every star in the sky. We are capable of aligning to every great energetic field that exists anywhere within the cosmos due to the fact that a focal point, or foci, exists within us.

One of the first great mysteries that was taught in the ancient temples was the capability of human beings to ultimately understand all things. Our current reliance on tools outside of ourselves has helped keep many of our great abilities in a dormant state.

The universe is one vast electric and magnetic structure, a universe of frequencies. Metals and flowers of the earth gather up rays of the stars, and in this manner these objects provide an additional manner in which human beings can align with the greater cosmos through stimulation of their own internal foci.

This philosophy of correspondence might seem overwhelming to some, however when you think of a musician who would compose, he must be wise in the science of harmonics. Painters study the laws of drawing and combining colors in order to be proficient in their craft. All wisdom comes to those who are seeking and are willing to spend the time to apprehend greater truths.

One way of learning is through observation. The way of health is the way of nature, and that which conflicts with the nature of the body, leads to a conflict which creates a dis-ease or ill health, in the same manner that conflicting vibrations in nature cause storms that may cause destruction. It seems no matter how strong or powerful someone is, they must keep the laws of the universe, because no one is able to break the laws of nature and flourish.

Each of us must determine and understand the ebb and flow of energies within our body. Most people have an understanding of what is beneficial and what causes an obstruction of energies within their body. It is a matter of using one’s will to constantly bring themselves to the highest and best action during their activities. All people are at different states of awareness and their bodily energies are flowing at various moments in concert with their thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and imagination.

A person's thoughts, attitudes, beliefs and imagination can cause obstructions that cut one off from the universal healing energies of nature. While we may seek the aid of someone to help us regain our health, if we do not change our beliefs, if we have not addressed the cause, then the effect will manifest once again. An old saying from the past was, 'let no one who can be his own, belong to another.' We each have unlimited abilities and the capabilities of manifesting that which we desire.

“The mysteries of the great and the little world are distinguished only by the form in which they manifest themselves; for they consist of one substance, and are aspects of One Being.”

“ALL is in all, and all is in the ALL.”

Attunement: Locating the vital center within the self…the little world and the big world become one.  Climb the pathway to rejoin the stars.  Find the constellation without and within until the movement corresponds to a sympathy.

To each their gift, and share of life,
This mortal plane, of seeming stress and strife,
Lessons come, in a variety of ways,
Some last years, and some last days,
Behold the victor, whom has gained,
Some great new measure, while in mortal frame,
The shell is cracked, out streams the light,
The spirit now makes, its return flight.  Steve

With love, in love and through love.

Tumors Melt Like Snowballs and Other Experiences to Ponder

Tumors Melt like Snowballs and Other Experiences to Ponder

One of the most dramatic examples of the power of the mind is the following report made by Dr. Bruno Klopfer regarding one of his patients in Psychological Variables in Human Cancer," Journal of Prospective Techniques 31 (1957), pp. 331-40

"Psychologist Bruno Klopfer was treating a man named Wright who had advanced cancer of the lymph nodes. All standard treatments had been exhausted, and Wright appeared to have little time left. His neck, armpits, chest, abdomen, and groin were filled with tumors the size of oranges, and his spleen and liver were so enlarged that two quarts of milky fluid had to be drained out of his chest every day. But Wright did not want to die.”

“He had heard about an exciting new drug called Krebiozen, and he begged his doctor to let him try it. At first his doctor refused because the drug was only being tried on people with a life expectancy of at least three months. Wright was not expected to live that long. Finally the doctor gave in and gave Wright an injection of Krebiozen on Friday, but in his heart of hearts he did not expect Wright to last the weekend.”

“To his surprise, on the following Monday he found Wright out of bed and walking around. Klopfer reported that his tumors had 'melted like snowballs on a hot stove' and were half their original size. This was a far more rapid decrease in size than even the strongest X-ray treatments could have accomplished. Ten days after Wright's first Krebiozen treatment, he left the hospital and was, as far as doctors could tell by their tests, cancer free. When he entered the hospital he had needed an oxygen mask to breathe, but when he left he as well enough to fly his own plane at 12,000 feet with no discomfort.”

“Wright remained well for about two months, but then articles began to appear asserting the Krebiozen actually had no effect on cancer of the lymph nodes. Wright, who was rigidly logical and scientific in his thinking, became depressed, suffered a relapse, and he was readmitted to the hospital. The tumors had literally returned all over his body.”

“This time his physician decided to try an experiment. He told Wright that Krebiozen was every bit as effective as it had seemed, but that some of the initial supplies of the drug had deteriorated during shipping. He explained, however, that he had a new highly concentrated version of the drug and could treat Wright with this. The physician used only plain water and went through an elaborate procedure before injecting Wright with the placebo.”

“Again the results were dramatic. Tumor masses melted, chest fluid vanished, and Wright was quickly back on his feet and feeling great. He remained symptom-free for another two months, but then the AMA announced that a nationwide study of Krebiozen had found the drug worthless in the treatment of cancer. This time Wright's faith was completely shattered. His cancer blossomed anew and he died TWO DAYS LATER."

Remarkably, Dr. Klopfer would later discover that the original medication that he had received was only a placebo and not the Krebiozen. Some medical professionals have discounted this story because it was ‘all in Wright’s mind.’ Isn’t that the intriguing part of this experience? Isn’t it enlightening that some tumors the size of oranges and others the size of walnuts appeared and disappeared so quickly due to his thoughts?

“The people of the Trobriand Islands engage freely in sex before marriage, but premarital pregnancy is strongly frowned upon. They use no form of contraception, and seldom if ever resort to abortion. Premarital pregnancy is virtually unknown. Because of their cultural beliefs, unmarried women are unconsciously preventing themselves from getting pregnant.”

In the book, Experiments in Distant Influence, studies showed that a hypnotized subject not only could taste what the hypnotist tasted but blinked when a light was shown in the hypnotist’s eye and sneezed when the hypnotist took a whiff or ammonia. This is how thought and feelings make us connected and that thought and belief are transmitted between all of us.

On September 7, 1871, the New York Herald reported “Nathan Cocker, an elderly blacksmith in Easton Maryland could handle red-hot metal without being harmed. He could hold a red-hot incandescent shovel to the soles of his feet until it was cool. He could lick the edge of the shovel and pour melted lead shot in his mouth, allowing it to run over his teeth and gums until it solidified.”

“In 1927 Dr. K.R. Wissen, a New York physician came across a 12-year-old boy who could handle red-hot irons out of a fireplace without ever getting harmed. He discovered this by accident when he would just pick up red-hot horseshoes in his uncle’s blacksmith shop when his uncle wasn’t around.”  Of course these sound unusual but when these people were examined, they were physically no different than you or me. They weren’t told they shouldn’t or couldn’t do these things.

On my previous posts I mentioned that a naturalist could produce a sound that could alter flames of a fire.  I have also shared information regarding a man in a coma, who overheard and misunderstood what a group of doctors said about his condition, and thinking he was well, immediately came out of the coma with his heart problem immediately rectified.

The intent of my posts is to keep these possibilities within our consciousness so that we all begin sharing and knowing what more is possible. And here is something additional that I am sharing with my fellow travelers.

The aspect of being in multiple places, bilocation is a reality. It is accomplished by elongating an aspect of your Being and stretching it (using a recognizable term) to wherever you desire to be. This essence of yourself is able, through your recognition of your capability, to manifest in visible physical form in both locations. As in most of my posts, the keys I am sharing here with you, is something I have personal knowledge and experience.

Before the Church forbid Padre Pio from speaking or writing on how he did certain ‘miracles,’ he stated this same fact. He bilocated by elongating an aspect of his consciousness. He did not do anything different than others who have bilocated thousands of years earlier as well as after his time. The point of my post is that we limit ourselves when we accept mental boundaries. We limit ourselves when we follow someone else's beliefs. What one can do…all have the potentiality to do. Accept no boundaries and ponder the aspects of each of these stories.

I love you. With love, in love and through love.

Some Thoughts About Reincarnation

Some Personal Thoughts Regarding Reincarnation

About 46 years ago my parents called me over to their home to share something with me.  When I arrived my mom took me into the living room where I found my father sitting in a chair with a dazed look on his face.

My parents told me they had just came back from a reading that my father had received.  ‘A reading,’ I asked.  ‘What kind of reading’?  After they told me, my immediate response was, aren’t the children supposed to be crazy and into oddball things and not the parents?

They played a cassette tape which lasted about 90 minutes.  I was completely amazed.  The voice on the tape had given my father a complete physical which included his internal organs as well as the subluxations along his entire spine.  At this point I would share, the information regarding his organ system was completely accurate and a chiropractor validated every subluxation.

The voice on the tape spoke about different traits and characteristics that my father had and that these traits were from past experiences or past livings.  As an example, he said to my father, the reason that when you make something you hammer it, glue it, wedge it and brace it is due to the fact that in a previous life you were working on a bridge.  You were supposed to be repairing it and had removed a covering over a hole that you should repair.

Someone got your attention and you lost your balance and fell through the hole to your death.  But, before you died you had the last thought that you hoped no one else would fall through the hole and get hurt.  So in this living you really make sure everything you build is secure.  Now this was fascinating to me because everything I build holds up like a deck of card house.  It doesn’t.  Many other descriptions of my father’s idiosyncrasies were given with a corresponding story about a past life that caused it.

I decided to visit this man who spoke on the tape and see what he might tell me.  I knew for a fact that this man knew absolutely nothing about me or my life before I met him.  After I had received a complete physical, the man mentioned that the reason I don’t drink and shy away from dark haired Spanish type young ladies and had a fascination for horses, was because of the following…

In a previous living I was a priest in the new world.  I became a little too close to the young Spanish ladies and ended up excommunicated from the Church.  I became a drunk and worked as a blacksmith on a forge.  My comfort came from working with horses.  I found this very interesting.  I had never had a desire or liked the taste of liquor. Although I have an extensive history in sports and all my fellow athletes would have a beer or stronger, I was always drinking my Gatorade or lemonade.  I was always attracted to blondes and I would quickly look away if attracted to dark skinned Spanish women.

Reincarnation was foreign to me at that time and as I did some reading it appeared that most people have been told that in previous lives they were this prince, priestess, count, philosopher or whatnot.  I would say that is definitely possible but not when you meet half a dozen people who all seemed to be the same person in that past life.

My personal realization concerning reincarnation came in dreams where I was shown my past lives and then recognized the same traits in my present living.  I learned how we carry our past experiences from previous livings and unpack those that we will use in our present living.  The spirit, as it enters a living, will take certain past experiences, traits, abilities to use in the present living.

As you delve further into this subject you will find that you may be attracted to a person, who lived in the past, and be drawn to a book that shares something about this person.  You will be reading about the person’s characteristics and traits and when you learn of a large number of similarities you might have with this person, a particular feeling might go through your body…and you will know.

I spent some time with the man who gave the readings and he eventually shared some other past lives that people had.  One example of karma, was related to a woman who came to this man saying that she was very concerned about her little son who was 3 years old.  The woman felt that the little boy actually hated her in some degree.  This seemed strange to her because she had a daughter one year older who loved her and she felt they were both children were brought up with the same love.

The man asked the woman, do you notice what happens when you light a match around your son? The lady answered, ‘he seems to get highly agitated and fights me.’  My daughter and most children are fascinated by the flames on a match!  The man told her that in a previous living she and her son were adults working on a fire line.  Because of her negligence, her son was killed in a fire in that living.  Her karma…because she did not take care for this person for some minutes in that living, in this living she would feel responsible for his care throughout her life.  A solution was provided by this man to help their relationship as the karma was worked through.

Some people think of karma as you burned me, I burn you and then you do this and I do that back to you.  What I learned here seemed more loving rather than the Hatfields and the McCoys going at it forever.

My father had many more examples and I had many more on our tapes but I hope that you see this slightly different understanding of reincarnation.  I have mentioned that I work with dreams, visions and internal guidance.  My desire to go further into how reincarnation and karma effects one life has led me to seeking answers within.  As a result I have been shown many livings at night and they seem to fit, because I see how I acted then and my actions, viewpoints and almost automatic reactions in this living. I also could see my eyes are the same.

I am sharing this with you because perhaps it will stimulate you into looking deeper.  I was shown at night in a previous living that I was a Southern Baptist minister in a previous life.  With my dark cape and hat with a bible stuck to my chest.  My right hand extended pointing and sending lots of people to that ‘other place.’   Now it is interesting because in the early part of this living I had a wart on that same pointing finger of my right hand.  In this living when I would point at something I would see the wart and lower my hand immediately.

I was told and shown, that in this living, I carried forward my speaking ability, as I have given almost two hundred lectures, but I have also been given the opportunity, in this living, to present beauty and love to many of those I had sent to the ‘other place.’  Here is another example of karma.  It was my programming that I wouldn’t be so dogmatic and pointing in this living because of the wart.  Once I had this understanding the wart disappeared.

I have asked and I have received much in this living.  I have mentioned that we can know more about our past lives if we place ourselves in a position that we want to learn, we want to improve ourselves and we will make the effort to bring ourselves to the highest and best that we can be.  Along with receiving past livings in my dreams I also have received commentary regarding what I had seen during the vignette of the past life.  So, much is possible, depending on your desire and expectation.

I was fortunate that this man allowed me to hear 5,000 readings with approximately 5 past lives on each.  So that is 25,000 or so.  On these reading he never gave a name or title for someone in a previous life, it was just about traits and characteristics.  No two readings were ever exactly alike.  Edward A. Monroe, who gave my father and me our readings, passed over to the other side of the veil about twenty years ago.  I am aware of past life regression techniques.  Just wanted to share some personal thoughts.

With love, in love and through love.

A 'Friend of the Lakes'

A ‘Friend of the Lakes’

In 1990, our office in Stuttgart, Germany, was approached by government officials for an explanation of how this cylinder device (pictured in post) was capable of revitalizing completely dead and dying lakes. The inventor of the cylinder has placed them in lakes, which have been classified as dead for up to ten years, and has brought the lakes back to a healthy state, where they once again are teaming with life.
He has been able to reverse the growth of algae and remove pollutants without chemicals. Government scientists tested the device and confirmed that there weren’t any chemicals, radiation, electric currents, no magnetic fields and it was not pumping oxygen.

Although officials were told not to open the canisters, they did. Within the cylinder they found a one inch by two inch piece of wood. The rest of the cylinder was empty.

The inventor has worked with lakes in Switzerland, Italy, Czechoslovakia and Austria. In all the lakes the inventor worked under the auspices of government officials, who signed declarations as to his effectiveness and success. One of the lakes had been used as a training center by six different universities located around the world.

These universities had been using the site to document the plight of dead lakes. Starting with a pH of 2.5, and a condition where fish placed in the water died within four hours; within four weeks, the ‘friend of the lakes’ had the pH at 5.7 and the fish population was thriving.

The large lake in the pictures, Lake Joux, was cleaned up in 4 months. He also worked on the kleinen Arbersee as well as the Mondtigglersee. The lake of Bad Laer had algae overgrowth for more than twenty years. Many companies tried to haul out tons of algae to help bring the lake back to where people could swim. None of the attempts was successful. Using this technique, this lake was cleaned up within two months.

Our World Research Foundation staff, visited the inventor, who didn’t speak any English, and we asked him a couple of questions through a translator. I eventually asked, are you using technology based on Wilhelm Reich? Have you made an orgon accumulator device that is able to code frequencies upon wooden objects as well as other materials?

He answered yes to both. He then motioned for me to go with him into another room. He had built a unit that was capable of coding materials with any frequency. He had gone beyond the work of Reich. On the piece of wood within the canister is imprinted the frequency of oxygen. Canisters are placed half a kilometer apart within the body of water and a constant frequency of oxygen is broadcast throughout the water. The bigger the lake, the more canisters used. Remember it is only a frequency of oxygen.

It produces an inexhaustible oxygen activation that reduces the growth of algae to natural levels as well as decomposes most of the toxins present in polluted lakes.

I spoke with the Lord Major of one city whose lake he had worked on. In four weeks the lake had gone from 2.7 pH to 5.5 pH.

Those familiar with homeopathy know the effects of electro-magnetic vibrations that are present even when there is virtually no trace of the original substance. William Reich, an Austrian philosopher and doctor, discovered that the atmosphere is filled with oscillations which contain enormous energies. Reich claimed that this energy he found, which he called ‘Orgon’ was present in the earth’s atmosphere and constituted the background of all life processes. Perhaps it could be likened to chi and prana.

Reich found a way to collect and concentrate this life giving energy. An energy collector transmitted the energy into the so-called Orgon Box. Reich also worked with patients and treated them for various illnesses simply by en-training the body using orgon energy. Orthodox medicine and many scientists were skeptical and before Reich died in 1957 he had constant problems with the law.

I am sharing this because it is a practical example of someone’s use of a technique, that some people question whether it is real. I am also sharing this because just the frequency of a substance on a regular piece of wood or aluminum had vast power. In fact, the ‘friend of the lakes’ performed an experiment at the Wicker Institute in Germany.

He was asked to place a code upon a piece of wood placed one foot from a slide of blood containing parasites. Through a microscope, Wicker researchers and our World Research Foundation staff, watched parasites completely dissolve in ten seconds. Everyone who witnessed the experiment was completely shocked.

This post would be a novel in order to share about the life and philosophy of Wilhelm Reich. It is difficult, without having met him, to know what to believe about his life. So much has been written, both positive as well as highly skeptical and negative regarding Reich’s work. In some places his books are banned. We are fortunate to have twelve of his books. I am not promoting Reich and my post is not about promoting the ‘friend of the lakes.’

I am not promoting the purchase of orgon accumulators. The ‘friend of the lakes’ is using a device, that anyone might build, based on the concepts of Reich. My intent is sharing the capability of our interaction with energy for the betterment of life on this planet.

What can be generated by the machine can also be generated through our own Being. Through having an awareness of a concept that is present in this true story, unused portions of your Being can be activated, as is already being done by others. Once in the proper state of awareness, then all things are possible. A voice can shatter matter…a voice can affect flames. We have done spontaneous healing of inoperable brain cancer at a distance and all of us are aware of the effectiveness of spiritual healing. We ALL can do so much more!

I won’t be giving out any additional information regarding the ‘friend of the lakes,’ or addresses for orgon accumulators. Let’s think on this concept of energy and energy transmission and allow it to permeate our consciousness. What more is possible? Whatever we can conceive!

Facing the Storm

An ancient philosopher once wrote that a wise person in the midst of a storm prays to God not for safety from danger, but from deliverance from fear.  This ancient wise man stated that it is the storm within which endangers him and not the storm without.

Montaigne said, “Look into yourself, discover yourself, keep close to yourself…it is other people and situations that steal you from yourself.”

Another philosopher wrote that a “person looks upon himself as a mere circumstance and not as the solid, adamant, mundane ground plan of the real universal person that resides within.”  Could it be what several of the ancient philosophers stated, “The experiment of the philosopher is that life is but a separation from a higher reality meant to bring within his optics the comprehension of a fact that a greater Self resides within?”

Emerson said, “A person contains all that is needful to his government within himself.  He is made a law unto himself.  All real good and evil that can befall him must be from himself.  He can only do himself any good or any harm.”

The ancient teachers shared that all greatness must come from internal growth.  Seneca said, “He is most powerful who has power over himself.”  Emerson said, “It is in thus trying your powers and bringing out each one in order until the whole moral person lives and acts and governs the animal part.”

We are all richer than we can imagine and believe that we are.  We are taught that others know more than us, that we must go ‘out into the world’ and find the secret, and most times to rely on someone else’s judgement rather than our own.

Life is a schoolroom where we experience many lessons and have the opportunity to demonstrate our spiritual awareness.  Benjamin Franklin said, “This life is rather a state of embryo, a preparation for life.  A person is not completely born, until he has passed through death.”

I shared on a previous post, “The world is an echo which returns to us what we say…and think.”  The storms of life that ravish us on the outside are often the echo of the storms that rage within.

George Fox said, “For if their eye was to him, the students would never come to their own teacher.”  Another teacher stated, “A person’s self travels ghost-like with him.”  “Nothing is gained by admitting the omnipotence of limitations.”

The “pleasure of life is according to the person that lives it, and not according to the work or place.  Life is an ecstasy.”  Emerson said, “As every wind draws music out of the Aeolian Harp, so whatever the person does or whatever befalls him, opens another chamber in his soul, a new thought, a new organ.  He extends the power of his mind over every cubic atom of his native planet, himself.”

I am not saying that the experiences that we face are not real.  Through our understanding of what rippling vibrations are taking place within that has caused us to face this storm without, will have a profound effect upon our present circumstances and future experiences.

May the winds of your future experiences play lovingly upon the harp of your Being.  With love, in love and through love.

Rumble and tumble, off goes the quake,
It is a message, to get you awake,
You must understand, what matters to see,
True life is not baubles, but spirit it be.

What has true value, in life’s great plan?
Is it money, or your piece of earth land?
Is it the trinkets, or car that you drive?
Or is it the spiritual, which resides deep inside?

Extending your hand, to help those in need,
Remember this schoolroom, provides lessons to see,
Be not worried, or panic as you live,
Only the earth-shell, will eventually you give,
For grander you are, and always shall be,
Go within, to acquire the key.  Steve

With love, in love and through love.

A visit with Love, or was it a dream?

A visit with Love, was it a dream?

Our little One…If you could but see the beauty of the archetypal flowers that hang as ideals, and are rooted within the substance of the Creator.  Their essence is the perfume of the Great Mother of Creations.  The sweet wine of the mystics, the essence of love from the Mother surrounds all the existence that you see and also those realities beyond your mortal eyes.

Love is that which binds all things together and exists on all planes, existences and realities.
Love is the Great Mover as well as the glue that binds all forms.  The Prime Mover, which when manifesting in perfect love brings the perfect ideal form into material manifestation.  God is the warmth of love and the beauty that gazes back at you from all parts of the earth.

Creation comes as the Great Musician plays his musical tune and all things dance in mortal form.  Beauty is the outer expression of love, and beauty is harmony and proportion.  Gazing upon beauty leads your Being to listen to the musical notes that the Great Musician plays.  All physical form is but expression of music.  You and all people are creating symphonies to be heard and new creations are made.  Each step you take creates a note and your created song of life is recorded in the Akasha.

Each little child walks the path but within the child a shining light does illumine the pathway at every step.  As each child grows physically stronger they have the choice of how to use their conviction and resolve.  Take your steps and have faith that the light you seek has always been within.

You must love all children from the same Mother-Father God.  For all life is precious and unique.  Each one learning, growing and experiencing for their own greater and expanding awareness.  Love all people as we love you.

There are spirits of love.  Love is the key, the loving energy of the Creator of the Creation.  When one steps into the vibration of love they summon the healers of all times, places, realities, spheres, dimensions and planes.  So each of you, be love, live in love and heal in love.  Step into the light of love and live in the moment with joyful expectation and the knowledge that all of you can achieve that which you desire.  Live within that great soul-self and don’t defeat God’s handiwork in the physical.

You live, move and exist within the vibration of light.  This light surrounds each person.  Imagine standing still in this brilliant light and it will intensify as you become one with the Father of all light.  Through love, beauty and harmony you intensify the light and it radiates.  All may become the radiators of the light because they are the light.

By quickening the heart and heat of love and intensifying your desire to see and feel it, so it manifests to that degree.  You are all beings of light.  All objects are light held in a frozen state and moving slow appearing as solid matter.  You aren’t given the light, YOU ARE THE LIGHT.  Your link with the Mother-Father is the light within you.  When you recognize you are the light, then your light will be so strong that the light will be seen around you as was depicted in the paintings of the old painters.

Say, I and the light of Love are one. Live in love, dance in love and be in love.  Cultivate a greater inner awareness of love until you become one with the manifestation of love.

And then I awoke.  I guess it was just a dream?

With love, in love and through love to you.

Seeing the Whole of Just a Slice?

Seeing the Whole or Just a Slice?

The ancient teachers believed that to understand something, one needed to experience it in its totality. In order to understand something, it must be placed correctly within its complete pattern. For the old philosophers, no item or phenomena could be examined separately or there would be no understanding of its place in the whole. They could through deeper intuition sense the energy of each element without separating it.

If you separate cells and analyze them, you will find no life, because in the process of separating them, you have begun the process of ending their life. Cutting off members, one by one; the arms, legs and head, you will find only the end of the energetic life flow.

In the old philosophies, the only way to find truth was by putting things together. Every separation is a destruction of unity, every destruction of unity begins a foundation of error.

The more parts we accept, the further we are from truth. Uniting is more important than specializing and dividing.

We lose the ability to understand the deeper aspects of human society when we separate the human race and we specialize through territories, language, religions and race. We learn more about who we are when we annihilate intervals. We can never understand the existence of any single piece until we recognize the place of that piece within the total pattern of existence.

Today, when an individual comes to a health practitioner complaining of a particular problem, is the problem residing only within the given spot where pain or discomfort is felt? Does a health practitioner look deeper than just the reading and analyzing of numbers, in order to discover a deeper cause than might be present? An audit by the IRS; a sudden breakdown of a relationship, a loss of employment, a loss of a loved one or pet, can be a primary factor in an individual’s difficulty. Determining whether these other conditions are present, is placing the individual in more of a complete pattern, where we now have a better understanding of the situation.

The individual who is desiring a fuller expression in their spiritual, psychic and physical life must recognize the value of seeing the world as a unity. When you come to the realization that all things have their place; and all seemingly individual parts follow a pattern and design; when you see that the individual parts are held together through rhythms and vibrations, but they are all a part of a whole, then you will truly hear and have a better appreciation for the symphony of life.

People live two lives.  One is a physical life that stretches from birth until death.  We measure this life by years and for many it is a life of surviving on this planet. We have another life that takes place simultaneously and this second life is one of realization. In this second life, which is considered the philosophical life, ‘it stretches from realization to infinity.”  It is the realization that you have a foundation that is immortal and doesn’t pass away.

Having once aligned yourself with this Immortal Self, you begin erecting ‘a civilization which will endure after the sun, the moon, and the stars have ceased to be.’  The old philosophers said, ‘the fool lives for today, the philosopher lives forever.’

What this means is that the philosopher understands that the physical self is not his authentic or true Self.  When Socrates uttered the words, “Anytus and Melitus may indeed put me to death, but they cannot injury me,” he was referring to his Spiritual Self that could not die.

This post is about recognizing that we are more than we assume, or it appears, when looking at our physical body.  We have an invisible side or Immortal Self that is as vast as ‘our comprehension and as measureless as our thoughts.’

In every person the two spheres are connected by a gate.  ‘In the mystic, the gate between the two spheres is the heart, and through spiritualization of our emotions’ we can make the contact from our physical being to our Immortal Self and reach this more elevated sphere.  Once you experience this aspect of your Self, you understand that there is more taking place within your existence than you ever imagined.

As one philosopher stated, “The soul of people has not been deprived of its wings; they are merely folded under its garment of flesh.”

What Dreams May Come

What Dreams May Come?

I would like to share some of my experiences regarding dreams. While reading this post, please remember our FB family mantra…what one can do we all have the potential to do.

I mentioned in an earlier post that I was told by a Cherokee Indian that my future guidance would come in dreams. At 23 that seemed strange since I didn’t put much credence and often couldn’t make sense from what I remembered in the morning. It took one week after my meeting to remember my first dream. The dream was regarding some teammates I had played with on an indoor volleyball team three years previously. The dream inferred that one of my teammates was disturbed about my demeanor when we all played together.

Now we had spoken several times and visited together over the last three years but my friend had never said or hinted that anything was bothering him. Due to the content of my dream, I decided to call my friend, even though my mind was saying, what are you doing? He is going to think your’re crazy.

I called him up, and asked, ‘is there anything bothering you about me? He said no the first three times I continued to ask, and then he said, ‘what’s the matter with you Steve, are you crazy? I don’t know why I said this, but I did… ‘I want to be a better person.’ He then said, ‘there is something that has bothered me.’ He related the exact wording and image that the dream had pointed out.

I was shaking a bit and I said to him, ‘thank you, I want to be a better person.’ After that I had five and six dreams a night on every phase of my personality. Then I began to receive telephone numbers in my dreams and when I would call the number someone would say they were waiting for me with something. Dreams would point out places to go throughout the world and something would be waiting for me.

Over the years I have received a lot of information through dreams regarding events taking place in the future. Some of the dreams of the future were so exact that I found it hard to believe that these things had not already taken place…how else could they be so perfectly shown?

Now there is a lot a lot of written information concerning dreams and dream interpretation is an important aspect of psychology. Jung, Freud and Edgar Cayce have a lot of information about dreams and there are hundreds of books on dream interpretation. My photos show a couple of our books. Dream interpretation dates back to 1500 BC and you see a picture of the Healing Temple of Aesculapius where potions were given so patients would dream and receive information for their healing.

We know that all of us dream and research has shown that people have an average amount of dreams per night and if you miss some dreams, due to not sleeping or not sleeping well, we seem to make up for the lost number.

I had an unusual dream where I was sitting in a barber chair which was reclined and there were several people discussing what dreams they were going to give me during the night. I actually heard them discussing the topics and I had dreams that night on the subjects that they mentioned. I felt that I should refer to the person in charge of my night guidance as My Dreamer.

When I first started working with my dreams I was told to simply keep a legal size pad next to my bed with a pen or pencil. When I would awake from a dream I would not open my eyes and would not turn on a light, I would write and slowly move the pad up as I wrote and then read it in the morning. If I had a long dream or several dreams I would just lift the paper over the top of the pad and continue writing.

I was told by my Dreamer that everyone can receive in-depth information but most do not make an effort to really pay attention or they believe that they don't believe they can receive guidance through their dreams. By keeping the pad nearby you are making the definite commitment that you want to be in touch with your higher guidance and by having an expectation that guidance is possible, you will begin a process of making a connection. The depth of information coming through depends upon your intent.

I would remind you of that motivating motto, ‘Just Do It.’ Know that we all dream and we all have this important conduit to higher consciousness, higher spiritual awareness and what some refer to as Source. We have several hundred books on dreams and of course I could share stories of how scientists completed formulas and discoveries through dreams. Poets and writers were given their entire stories through dreams. People were given ideas through dreams and invented products, devices and systems in areas that they had no previous expertise. Of course our religious books are filled with stories of the heroes who received guidance that came through dreams.

Through dreams lost items have been found and people have had contact with loved ones that have passed to the other side of the veil. Yes, all of this is true. What dreams may come?

It is becoming more and more difficult to receive good information from sources that used to be considered fair and dependable. We have a lot of misinformation on the internet, we have people in positions in religious, political and social institutions that sometimes give very questionable information and guidance. For help with interpretation when the dream is not direct, choose a book of interpretations that feels right or jumps out at you from a shelf. Before some may ask me, I started out with, ‘Dreams Your Magic Mirror,’ by Elsie Sechrist. Please see what book resonates with you.

It is time to go directly to your own source. It is time to trust and believe that there is a very important aspect to why you dream that goes far beyond what is discussed in psychology. Yes, dreams can be like an onion skin. One can be venting from frustrations, living out fantasies and having communication between aspects of you consciousness. All true. But there is so much more to our dream mechanism.

Many people have asked, are we just thrown into this earth experience and expected to somehow survive and figure it out by ourselves? If reincarnation is a fact, why don’t we really know who we have been in the past and what karma we might have accumulated and are working out in this living?

This information is available. I have been shown several of my past lives in dreams and been given explanations as to what I did in those livings. Interestingly enough, I knew it was me because I saw the eyes of the person I was then, and I just knew. Many philosophers, teachers and regular folks have known many of their previous lives from dream information. SO CAN YOU IF YOU DESIRE IT.

Specific dream information is received when you have the desire to know and have the patience to wait. If you ask for bread you are not given a stone. It is true that you can jam your consciousness during the day, with everything about skiing, and have skiing dreams throughout the night. But you can also go to bed with an understanding that you have a connection to a sacred conduit that connects you to the infinite. To read about the history of the sacredness of dreams, “The Secret History of Dreaming.’

I mentioned on my previous posts my information is about what WE ALL CAN DO. We all have this conduit and I am telling you, I am sharing what I have been told, that especially now in the world, we must learn to listen, to bring ourselves back to the understanding of who we truly are. This post is to encourage YOU to expect and desire more from your dreaming. It is not about my experience, IT IS ABOUT YOU!

With love, in love and through love.

"The 40-Mile Blow"

“The 40-Mile Blow”

Charles Kellogg was not a yogi or occultist. He was a naturalist and an expert with duplicating bird sounds. He drove around in a “Travel Log’, a mobile home made out of a redwood tree to raise awareness of the plight of California forests in 1920s.

Kellogg was born in the high Sierra of California in 1868.  Where he grew up there were no teachers other than and Indian tribe called the Digger Indians.  He played with snakes, birds and various animals and from this he developed a keen eye for observation and an acute sense of smell.

He developed the ability to exactly mimic the sound of almost every bird and insect in nature.  This earned him the title, ‘The Nature Singer.’ Kellogg's ability to sing from the throat instead of whistle the songs had a lot to do with his ability to generate these unique sounds,
He gave more than three thousand lectures sharing his experiences with John Muir, August Rodin, animals and his beloved natures.

Throughout his life he always had a fascination with fire and sound.  He mentions in his autobiography that he was always experimenting with his voice and tuning forks to see how he could affect fire.
A friend of his remarked about one of his lectures, “When the curtain went up Charles had his simple material in his hand and the melody of his matchless bird songs and his words had the very spirit of a woods prophet.”

“There was something in that physically fit, mentally keen and spiritually responsive personality that proclaimed him every inch a master in any emergency.”  “I realize he is one of those dedicated spirits who are untiring in their search for what is beautiful and true.”
From his autobiography –

“I planned with a friend in San Jose, forty miles from Oakland, to help me in an experiment. I coached him that while I was on a radio station, forty miles away, I would give a signal over the radio, a cricket sound, and then he was to turn on a gas flame, within a tube to its highest point of two feet high. I would affect the flame in its height and then extinguish it. I did not tell anyone of my experiment at KGO radio.”

“My friend called me immediately after the radio program and informed me that every experiment was a success. At a distance of forty miles, with my bird voice, I had extinguished through the radio, a two-foot gas flame, and caused the tall, yellow flame to become a blue roaring Bunsen. When I told them at KGO station what I had done, they were astounded and asked if I would be willing to repeat the experiments before the professors of physics at the University of California in Berkeley.”

“On the evening of September 6th, Prof. A. T. Jones, University of California, introduced me before the microphone at KGO in Oakland. He gave a short explanation of how the “sensitive flame” is affected by only the very highest vibrations and what I intended to do had never been done before. In LeConte Hall in Berkeley ten miles away, a group of scientists and physicists, headed by Dr. Elmer Hall, were at the receiving end with the “sensitive flame” apparatus before them. The line was kept clear over the telephone so those in the hall in Berkeley could give signals to me in Oakland, and report the results at once. I was to cause the flame to dance (become agitated) and to again make the two foot yellow flame become the Bunsen.”

“Every experiment and the exact time the scientists wanted them done, were successfully completed. Over the radio, ten miles away, I put out the flame several times, and made the Bunsen several times. Representatives of AP and UPI, were in Le Conte Hall waiting for the scientists to authenticate the experiments. The then put an account and pictures throughout the world.”

In his autobiography Kellogg makes it clear that that at times he generated sounds with devices like a tuning fork and at other times he generated sounds with just his voice. Both ways he could have an effect upon a large and intense flame. Here is a wonderful example of someone, who in his relationship to nature, developed an ability that most of us would not believe is possible, affecting a flame with his voice.  Interestingly enough in several tests Kellogg showed he generated sounds beyond the normal range of the human voice.

Yogananda in his ‘Autobiography of a Yogi,’ also mentions Charles Kellogg.  “Charles Kellogg, the California naturalist, gave a demonstration of the effect of tonal vibration on fire in 1926 before a group of New York firemen.  Passing a bow, like an enlarged violin bow, swiftly across an aluminum tuning fork, produced a screech like intense radio static…Instantly the sound extinguished a six inch high flame inside a hollow tube.”

You can feel his love pouring throughout his autobiography.  As he recounts his adventures in great detail one has an even greater respect and love for nature, wildlife and beauty.

In one of his last chapters, ‘Fire and Sound in Far Off Fiji,’ he recounts his experience with natives of Fiji in 1925 and how he observed fire ceremonies that were never seen by outside people.  There is fire walking and then there are these ceremonies where people stood lingering in the middle of the fire.

And finally Kellogg mentions something even more amazing.  He brought the sensitive flame device to the island.  “Following their fire-walking performance I also did a demonstration.  I put out the ‘sensitive flame’ with my voice at a distance of ten feet, with no sound that even their acute ears could hear.” Think about what he did for a moment.
As we explore that which lies within, we will embark on a journey of what more is possible without.

To inspire and empower with love, in love and through love.  Have a beautiful day.

The Gambling Physician: He Bet on Life

The Gambling Physician: He Bet on Nature

Gerolamo Cardano was born in 1501. Due to his work of propounding mathematical theory to probability he has been referred to as the ‘Gambling Scholar.’ He was a medical doctor, inventor, philosopher, astrologer and a keen observer or life. He was considered one of the greatest algebraists of his time.
He researched into tuberculosis, asthma and venereal disease and it was due to his cure of asthmatic illness of Archbishop Hamilton that he rose to the pinnacle of international fame. “In medicine, Cardano ranks with Hippocrates, Galen, Maimonides, and other physicians of classical and medieval times. He fought against prejudice and superstitions that in the dark ages had become associated with the study of physical ills.” He wrote more than two hundred books on everything that interested him.

He remarked late in his life, “Sickness of body, and gloom of mind in consequence of some injustice in my tutelage, were my daily companion.” At a very young age he contracted the plague, which he survived, but ended up with five plague-warts; one on the end of his nose, one on his forehead, one on each cheek, and one on the chin. Growing up his mother wanted nothing to do with him and all of the paid wet-nurses were afraid of him. He received frequent whippings from his parents and aunt.

He was totally accident prone. He would sit on a wall and a brick would come loose. He would stand on a roadway and the road where he stood would give way. Numerous times he fell down flights of stairs. One time as he fell from the top of the stairs, a hammer in his hand was released and made a perfect arc, striking him on the top of his head at the bottom of the stairs. How do we not love this man!  He always believed the future would be better which made it easier to accept whatever he was experiencing in the present.

Eventually the people around him began to love him and supported his inquiring mind and heart. He had a fascination for numbers and he utilized his skill in mathematics to calculate chance and proper betting in gambling. It has been said that when his money ran low he replenished himself through gambling. His study on mathematics and gambling led to the propounding of the Laws of Probability as we know them today. In his writings he states that his interests were not so much in the winning of money as it was the observation of human nature involved with gambling.  Even with this attitude I am sure the casinos Las Vegas would have had a watchful eye on him.

He studied medicine at Padua University. He was such an intelligent student that he finished his medical studies in one-fourth the normal time. The group of physicians who grant the final medical degree, continuously rejected his receiving his degree.  In order to receive his degree he had to persuade, one by one, enough of the physicians until he reached a majority who would grant his medical degree. Those who still were against him would continue to battle his theories of medicine for the rest of his life.

His battle against the College of Physicians was escalated when he edited and published his medical thesis entitled, “On the Bad Practice of Medicine in Common Use.” The common medical practices that Cardano vehemently denounced were seventy-two in number. He attacked first of all the principle that in every case of illness, immediate recourse, should be powders and potions. “To do nothing with chemicals is far better than to do too much, and a physician acting rightly should consider a great number of things before setting down prescriptions.” He stated that considerations should include, lifestyle, hygiene and the mental state of the patient. Considerations should include the atmosphere in which the patient lived which was drawn upon his own experiences during his life.  Remember this is in the early 1500s!

Cardano had several prominent patients that he helped when other doctors failed. Francesco Gaddi, prior of the order of Augustinian Friars in Milan, had suffered from scrofulous infection which was probably tuberculoid leprosy. Normal treatment was branding the patches of the skin with hot irons. “Cardano did not immediately use ointments but considered the patient’s mode of life, which included complete neglect of the bodily needs in the cause of spiritual dedication. He arrived at the common sense conclusion of cleaning the body, nourishing the body, and he prescribed regular hours of sleep and exercise. He added the wearing of linen instead of sackcloth next to the skin and included a diet of fish and wine.”  “Astonishingly Gaddi recovered and his body was left with clear skin and completely whole without anything being cut away.”

Other patients included Martha Mott, who for thirteen years had suffered from an ulcerated leg and was bedridden. She was cured and completely restored to health. Cardano worked with syphilis, gonorrhea, asthma, tuberculosis and treated famous and high profiled religious leaders, who were afflicted and no one else could cure. He established the principles of the sanatorium, which would not be rediscovered for another three hundred years. His therapies included cleanliness, diet, sunshine and exercise and appropriate rest times.  Cardano was a contemporary of Paracelsus but no records show that they met each other.

At the end of his life he would be arrested and tried by the Inquisition for laying out a horoscope of Christ. His freedom was won, due to the intercession of the Archbishop Hamilton, a patient he had cured.
Cardano demonstrated perseverance against great odds and a positive attitude in the face of seeming disaster. He also is a reminder to be cognizant of the little things, that are in reality not so little, which can often bring assistance to help a health problem. He utilized the healing forces of nature and prescribed natural living.  He bet on nature and his patients were the winners for it.

In 1576 in his last year of life, Cardano finished his ‘The Book of My Life.’  His areas of interest were vast and his writings showed he thought deeply about most topics.  I was drawn to his chapter on Guardian Angels.  He also called them guardian spirits.  He stated in this chapter that recorded history shows several people of the past including Socrates, Plotinus, Josephus and others, “now including himself,’ who seemed to have been favored by attending guardian spirits.

“Truly the guardian spirits have clearly been operative, and it has been my lot to be attended by a good and compassionate spirit, I believe.  This, I am persuaded, had long attended me, but how it apprised me of perils impending I did not realize until I had completed my seventy-fourth year of life and was in the act of writing this autobiography.  Then was I only able to grasp it all.”

Cardano goes on to discuss the signs and signals that were presented to him that changed the course of his activities.  Some of these signs were of such a strong manifestation that others with him witnessed them at the same time as himself.  But there were other signs he was given, as he looked back, that were just as profound but not so dramatic…they were subtle.

He goes on to ask why he was blessed with such loving guidance.  ‘Why me?  Was it because of my boundless love of truth and wisdom accompanied by a contempt of wealth?  Was it because of my great longing for justice?”  Or was it because of his love for his fellow human beings?

As one looks through the past and reads about these experiences, by both well-known personages and people who you might not be aware of, it is very obvious.  They listened, they saw, they slowed down for one moment to allow a more profound guidance around them to provide input.  The guidance did not immediately change or alter the impending event, but created a pause and allowed the individual to still make their own choice. We each have our own spiritual guiding mechanism coming from spirit.  Why are we more aware of certain people from the past who seem special to us?  Perhaps they slowed down and took the time to listen and then made their choice of the highest and best reaction.

To inspire and empower with love, in love and through love.
