All those throughout history who have accomplished so-called ‘magical’ or unusual feats have never broken any physical laws, they have discovered and utilized a more encompassing law. Perhaps the word law is constricting and limiting… however, people are breaking ‘laws’ all the time. So, they are not necessarily ironclad.
I’ve made the statement several times regarding manifestations that you utilize more encompassing laws of our reality to supersede more limited laws. If you take a piece of 8.5 x 11 paper and toss it into the air observe its action. It just seems to flop around in the air and not leave your basic space. If you fold that same piece of paper into the shape of various paper airplane models, you are able to fly the plane across the room. The paper is exactly the same. You are using various laws of aerodynamics to alter the action of the paper. You did not change the make-up of the paper.

In 1940, Horace Leaf reported a meeting he had in Stockholm in 1924 with Mr. Karl Tiren. Karl Tiren was considered the greatest authority on the manners, customs and beliefs of the Laplanders or Sami of Sweden, Norway and Finland. Tiren was very respected by the Laplanders and they shared with him many of their most sacred beliefs. He was the only white ‘shaman’ in their group and no other foreigner was ever taken into their confidence. Several centuries ago the Laplanders were noted for their magical powers, their repute extending throughout Europe. It was reported that Ivan the Terrible of Russia sent to Lapland for magicians to explain the cause of a comet. Tiren stated, “I agree that a good deal which is capable of natural explanation has been surrounded by superstition, but it is their sincere belief and they do not mean to deceive." Dr. Kate W. Baldwin was senior surgeon for 23 years at Philadelphia Women’s Hospital, the oldest women’s hospital in the country. In 1924, little Grace Shirlow was brought into the hospital with 3rd degree burns over 4/5ths of her body. It was not only the skin that was burned but the fascia of the muscle. Dr. Baldwin stated, “I was brought in about 24 hours after the burn and the surgeon and the doctor stated ‘there was no use to do anything else.’ I told myself there was nothing in regular medicine or surgery that would make the child live. I told my assistant we might as well see what Spectro-chrome (color therapy) would do. The child was 8 years old and there was complete suppression of urine for more than 48 hours and a temperature of 105 to 106 degrees.” There is more to this story than just an herbal book.
The Badianus Manuscript was discovered at the Vatican Library in 1929 by Professor Charles Clark. This illustrated Aztec herbal is America’s earliest medical book, having been written in 1552. Henry Sigerist, of Johns Hopkins University stated, “it has been known that the Aztecs had physicians of great experience. The Spanish conquerors were very impressed by the medical lore of the Indians and they mentioned it with much praise in all their early reports from Cortez’ letter to Charles V.” The tomato effect in medicine occurs when a highly efficacious therapy for a certain disease is ignored or rejected because it does not ‘make sense’ in light of accepted theories of disease mechanism and drug action. The tomato effect was introduced in JAMA, May 11, 1984 by doctors at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Its name is derived from the history of the tomato in North America. By 1560 the tomato was becoming a staple of the continental European diet. However, it was shunned in America until the 1800s. Why? Because we knew it was poisonous. Everyone knew it. It was obvious. Tomatoes belong to the nightshade family. The leaves and the fruit of several plants in this family can cause death if ingested. The fact that Europeans were eating tomatoes without harm was not relevant. It simply did not make sense to eat poisonous food. Coronary artery disease is currently one of the leading causes of death. The cornerstone of myocardial infarction (heart attack) is to remove blockages in the coronary arteries that are thought to be the cause of the infarction. The widely accepted coronary artery thrombosis theory of blockage is that arteries become clogged with plaque, damaged from smoking or high cholesterol. A clot forms a fissure in the plague, the clot may shut off the blood flow of the coronary artery causing a heart attack. Seems simple enough, no blood can flow, so the muscles of the heart cannot be supported, and heart metabolism leads to death.
Someone asked, how does one focus to reach the state of mind, to manifest a situation or initiate a placebo type result? Here is one tool used by the doctor and great alchemist, Paracelsus (1493-1543). To Paracelsus, there is no miracle or magic, just laws of the natural world that have not yet been recognized. The three pillars of all seemingly miraculous results is the use of Imagination, Faith and Will. So called ‘magic’ is the product of a direction of the Will in working in sympathy with forces of the natural world. Wherever the Will can be brought into activity, invisible changes, lawful and natural can be induced. Dr. Isaac Jennings (1788-1874) was a medical doctor in Oberlin, Ohio in the early 1800s. In 1822, after twenty years of practicing regular medicine, he gave up the medical pills and powders and relied upon the curative powers of two systems; working with nature and satisfying his patient’s faith in him by using bread pills, colored water and starch powders. For twenty years he dispensed placebos but did not tell his patients. He decided upon his duel health approach largely based upon two cases he attended. In 1986 Discover Magazine informed the world of the work of Dr. Bjorn Nordenstrom, former Chairman of the Nobel Assembly in Sweden. He served in the Nobel Assembly from 1967 through his Chairmanship in 1985. His list of academic appointments, hospital appointments, education and list of more than 122 peer-reviewed papers was very impressive. Discover Magazine described his theory of how an injury or tumor alters the normal flow of the bio-electromagnetic energy that is contained within the closed circuit network of tissue, arteries and finally the veins. “A universe of electrical activity.” There is not a small amount of electrical action, but a universe of electrical activity. These electrical circuits are similar to electrical lines that you see around your home or office."
In 1986 after Dr. Nordenstrom had delivered his presentation at our 1986 Congress on Bio-Electric Medicine, he was very gracious to sign a copy of his book for our library. With great pomp and ceremony we stood before our electromagnetic section of our library and were prepared to place Dr. Nordenstrom’s book on the shelf. As he placed his book on the shelf he noticed a little book right next to his book. The book by J.H. Rae, M.D. was titled, “The Application of Electricity as a Therapeutic Agent.” In this book from 1877, Dr. Rae stated the following. “May 12th, 1869, upon examination of our patient we found a tumor about the size of a large hen’s egg, shaped like a bean just below and to the right of the nibble on the right breast…because there had already been two surgeries to remove the tumor by the eminent surgeon H. Marion Sims, the patient would not agree to a third surgery.”
In a previous post, I told the story of Mr. Wright, whose belief in the efficacy of the medicine he was receiving cured his tumors, and subsequently brought them back. When he believed the treatment was working, Mr. Wright’s tumors melted like snowballs; a dying patient misunderstood 13 doctors and thought he was well. Here are other situations where people believed they would be helped. Let’s have some fun discovering the power of mind! "There are between 50 and 75 trillion cells in the body... Each type of cell has its own life span, and when a human dies it may take hours or day before all the cells in the body die." But with so much constant change, how does living matter keep its shape?
The purpose of showing the Habichtswald-Klinik, and other clinics I will discuss some other day, is to place in our immediate consciousness a beautiful and loving approach to healthcare facilities. In far ancient history, there existed the Persian Healing Gardens. A place where the walls of the rooms were vines and flowers, running water cascaded down fountains producing specific musical notes for healing, and colorful flowers adorned the environment. The spirits of the place assisted the practitioners and the nature divas aided in the work. Dreams coming from those in need, helped the practitioners to find the right remedies. Very similar to the dream temples of Asclepius. George Lakhovsky (1869-1942) – In the early 1920s he developed an electromagnetic device he called a Multiple Wave Oscillator. The main premise of Lakhovsky’s theory is that every living being emits radiations. If Lakhovsky had been in the United States he would have found support from Dr. Harold Saxon Burr of Yale, Dr. Crile of the Cleveland Clinic, Royal Rife and Dr. Otto Rahn of Cornell.
What was disease according to Lakhovsky? How a man extinguished a flame through his voice and a bow.
This is to inspire and empower each of us to our potential. Tributes to Dr. George Washington Crile (1864-1943) includes the USS George Crile, a US Liberty ship named after him during World War II, and a lunar crater named after him. In 2008, Crile was chosen as one of the six Great People of Ohio, along with Thomas Edison, Jesse Owens and Harriet Beecher Stowe. But all of these accolades for Crile were due to his being formally recognized as the first surgeon to have succeeded in a direct blood transfusion. He also contributed to other procedures and medical devices that have benefited surgical techniques. Perhaps his greatest contribution on energy, his two books, “The Phenomena of Life” and “The Bipolar Theory of the Living Process”, remain virtually unknown.
The picture below is of Roger Bannister who ran the first sub 4-minute mile on May 6, 1954. So many people tried, and failed to break the four minute barrier before him, that many thought it was a physical impossibility to accomplish.
The precedent and hypothetical barrier was believed to be that no one could run a mile under four minutes. But after Bannister broke the record, it wasn’t long before several runners continued to lower that mark. Why was it that the best conditioned athletes in the world could not break this barrier until they became aware that someone else could? Although this was a story of a physical phenomenon, it carries into almost every phase of human existence. The precedent becomes the artificially constructed boundary. P.P. Quimby, the father of the New Thought Movement, wrote an interesting comment in one of his notes... Someone had a question regarding a comment I made about holding a thought or a concept until it manifests. In my experience, I believe there are several manners in which to hold a concept until it materializes. Of course from the highest vibration, you would hold the concept of how valuable and important it will be for all creation. That it is conceived with love, in love and through love for the benefit of all. From this state of awareness or vibration you embody love. There are various states of awareness from this standpoint and therefore many people will have their own manner of manifesting. The idea is to be as complete as possible with your vision. Here is something I read a long time ago about James J. Hill, a man who built railroads. Here is how he envisioned: - First I see in my mind's eye the two places that need to be connected. - What kind of places they are. - What kind of people live in them. - What kind of businesses they are engaged in. - I see the country in between them; - The cities and towns. - Rural sections & people who live there. - I see the rails being made. - I see the stations being built. - I see the trains stopping at the stations. - The people getting on and off. But not until the whole things is so much a part of my consciousness that I can hear the whistles blow, do I build the railroad." And the biggest key: When something is so much a part of your consciousness that you can see, feel and touch it within; when you know it will appear because you are a co-creator and have been given this gift; and that it exists already because you have created it, then it will appear in the physical. Paracelsus (1493-1544) (paraphrase) the mind is the most powerful collecting and distributing media of all. More than all talismans. A physician, knowing how to direct his own mental energy, can through conformity with laws of structure, stimulate or vitalize magnetic fields. He must understand thoroughly how to condition this energy. [This is not simply a good thought method. He believed in the scientific directing of a conscious formula just exactly and specifically as a pharmaceutical formula.] Just as a physician can give a written prescription to be filled, the physician with his mind, devised the prescription so, directed through the same mental energy that came up with the prescription, it is mentally sent to the patient. The patient will respond. You will find through research that Paracelsus was one of the greatest healers throughout Europe, taking incurable cases to prove his philosophy. He stated that all can do it! Using the aspects from the previous post. To inspire and empower. Kept in consciousness it will increase throughout all consciousness. Associated Press in the late 1980s: Papers differ on effects of pill on heart. Boston: Two papers examining the effects of estrogen pills on older women's hearts reached the New England Journal of Medicine at exactly the same time. One suggested that the hormone prevents heart disease, the other that it causes it. Both studies were found to be VALID, and both are being published today's issue of the journal. The conflicting results, say experts, hold lessons about how science works and what should be made of its conclusions. In 1990, my office in Stuttgart, Germany, was approached by government officials for an explanation of how this cylinder device was capable of revitalizing completely dead and dying lakes. The inventor of the device has taken lakes that have been classified as dead for up to ten years, and has brought them back to a healthy state, where they once again are teaming with life. He has been able to reverse the growth of algae and remove pollutants without chemicals. The government tested the device and their scientists confirmed that there weren’t any chemicals, radiation, electric currents, no magnetic fields and it was not pumping oxygen.
Although they were told not to open the canisters, they did. They found a one inch by two inch piece of wood. The rest of the cylinder was empty. I had quite a few messenger questions regarding my belief, so I thought I would share this.
Several years ago, before presenting a lecture on "The Mind, Heart and Nature of Healing", talking about P.P. Quimby, J.R. Newton and Paracelsus, I had the following dream: |
