The Voice
Listen well, to the inner voice,
That is quite near, at every choice,
The teacher in each, can guide your hand,
As we move through the shadows, in this land.
In this world, our character becomes clear,
Different challenges, are presented near,
A more complete spirit, can come to light,
If we choose to use, our greater spiritual sight.
Keep yourself, in your upper mode,
Your actions guided, from the higher abode,
Act as an angel, in your choice,
Or you can follow, your little earthly voice.
No right or wrong, in any action,
You spiritual self, catalogs each reaction,
You learn to see, your greater side,
And eventually transcend, your earthly pride.
The goal is not, just the end of this road,
But the choices you make, while in your physical abode,
Lessons give you, a chance to show,
To what aspect, your spiritual awareness does grow.
Can you perceive, the soul’s shining light?
Through life’s choices, is it burning bring?
Illusions melt, as you discover,
The Greater You, which must be uncovered,
Believe in yourself, act in the highest and best
Follow that inner light, and you will accomplish your quest.
We are comprised of so many different aspects, each one of which we might consider the dominant part of ourselves. We have the mind, ego, personality, imagination and body consciousness. While they all reside within us, which is really in charge of driving our vehicle through life? Which can exert the greatest influence in determining the final direction that one might drive? It more than likely depends on what the final destination that one is steering toward.
Is our mind the most important driver? Have you ever noticed that you come up with an idea, image, direction, potential invention but then your mind steps in to tell you all the reasons why it won’t work or that it is a silly idea? So, where did the thought, image or idea come from?
Most likely from your imagination. Virtually all the great inventions and discoveries have preceded from the inventor or scientist’s imagination. The imagination is where the Highest Voice within you brings you messages, inspirations, ideas.
As a little experiment, why not pay attention to everything that pops into your mind. As you are involved with some type of activity, note each time your mind starts you down some pathway that has nothing to do with the present activity that you are involved with. Then, stop and talk with your mind saying, “I really love you and appreciate you, but I am not going to be traveling down this pathway with you.” The focus back on your activity.
Your mind has already made its “mind’ up regarding many aspects of your life. It is programmed and works automatically in most cases for most people.
When you silence your mind, you open up an opportunity for messages to come to you from a Higher Aspect of yourself. I will explain in the future that the pathway for your Higher Self is through the imagination.
Now I’m being a bit vague regarding this last point but I will share more later. I would like you to consider being observant and remaining in the moment.
