What would a future culture, perhaps two or three hundred years from now, think about us if they looked at some of our existing words, pictures and images. Would they believe that temperatures ruled our civilization? That car is really hot! That picture you showed me is cool! Or perhaps they will find images of talking bears speaking of toilet paper, a duck saying Aflac and so on. There are literally hundreds of slang words, idioms and phrases we use that would completely confuse future researchers. Unless you become one with the period and attempt to understand them, you can’t fully understand what the real meaning might have been.
The ancients built idols and images created in the likeness of deities. They did not believe that the rock, stone or marble were the deities. Many people look back at these ancient times believing that some of the ancients were deluded, hysterical and not very wise. The images were meant as a likeness, a representation of similitude. Their existing philosophical principle had to do with creating a sufficient similarity to the original principle where there would be a motion of energy from the original to the symbol.
The macrocosm and the microcosm, what is below is like that as above and the above is like that which is below. Through the laws of resonance, the ancients knew that creating a likeness to that which is above will draw the energy down to the image or human below. The image would not be the original, but a mirror image of the original. The more care used to fashion the image, the greater the flow of energy. It was written that some of the images and statues literally became active from the animating energy from the original. It has been written that some people actually walked and acted with such wisdom, grace and beauty and love, that they were deemed deities.
Pythagoras stated that an image was constructed with almost a magical sympathy to capture the qualities of certain deities and form a sympathetic affinity. Care was taken in architecture regarding the shape of columns of a temple, its roof, dome and dimensions. To bring archetypal energies to people, theurgy was practiced. The existing philosophy was that things alike cannot be kept separate, things not alike cannot be reconciled. “Therefore, whenever a form comes into harmony with an archetype, there is a release of energy, from the archetype, to the form that is consistent with it. Every form of life and energy in nature, has an archetype that sustains it. These energies can only be captured by organisms which are in sympathetic resonance, or have the proper polarities.

Newton, the individual who healed some 250,000 people in the 1800s, wrote in his autobiography in 1879 that the more he loved, that Beings from other planets and dimensions were adding more love to him, and he could feel stronger currents of love assisting and supporting him.
